  I would maybe recommend them only for standing because for me, who walks quite a bit at work, they hurt my ankles (even though they seem quite wide) and my back also got messed up.

  It doesn't smell like plastic at all, it's relatively lightweight. I usually wear a size 38 in sports shoes, but I got these in size 37 and they are a bit big. If I had gotten size 36, they would have been perfect. So, for thick socks, even better. They are definitely worth their money, 1000%!
