The main, if not exclusive, purpose of this book is to assist its readers in better and easier understanding of the basic principles and concepts of electromagnetism. To this end, a large number of appropriately selected and illustratively processed examples (of electrostatic, magnetostatic, and time-varying fields) are presented, accompanied by a corresponding number of unsolved exercises. At the beginning of each chapter, a concise presentation of the basic elements of the respective theory is provided. 

During the treatment of the material, special emphasis is given to indicating the necessary and appropriate methodologies and tools for solving the relevant problems. The chapters of the book are supplemented with two appendices that include the answers to all the unsolved exercises, useful tables, and basic mathematical relationships of vector analysis. The authors' wish and belief is that this book will help its readers in the easier and more comprehensive understanding of the, often considered difficult, theory of the electromagnetic field.
