The most professional speaker I have ever heard - there is such good "control" on all frequencies, that I am truly amazed!
Also, what I have never heard before is this stereo imaging and soundstage in a speaker - it comes very close to the soundstage of headphones. All electronic elements or instruments in different tracks sound really clear and very separated from each other.
Despite being very professional sound, in the sense that the frequencies are so clear and a very "lively" sound as well, especially in the highs. And because lately I have seen some things with other speakers etc, inaccuracies, problems, etc., unfortunately, the packaging, functions and overall usage are really flawless and very well thought out.
And I will also tell you that for the first time I have heard such a soft noise in a speaker - to the point where you search to find it. It's not like other high-frequency noise that is noisier - here even when you hear it (when there is no sound in the speakers), it's like a soft "humming" to put it that way, in lower frequencies and more pleasant! (however with TRS Balanced cables - I have not tried the other two options)
Now for bass that I imagine many are interested in: first of all, know that it is 5.25" and not exactly 5 - it is after all a small bonus, however the 6-inch is 6.5" and so on (for those who do not know I mention it). The 5-inch, generally say, have the best low-high ratio because the woofer is somewhat smaller and does not "cover" the mids and highs so much. If your studio is small and you have them close to you, you do not need more - if it is larger and you place them at a distance, then go for a larger one if you want. Also, I have never been a fan of subwoofers for production because they somehow cause chaos and an over-excitement in the lows and you can easily fall into traps, unless you want it for reference. Better, completely personally at least, to prefer monitors that reach as low as possible in frequencies (this for example, reaches up to 45 Hz). And if you put them at somewhat high volumes and sit at the edge of the room at a slight angle from the speakers, you understand everything and then that "woof woof" that the very lows make, and the whole room fills with nice low-frequency reflections (but know that I also have headphones that reach up to 6 Hz, so I check there too).
Also, know that they have room and eq settings and the green front big led of their operation is very nice. They also come with stickers that you stick underneath to lift them a bit and not slip (I am at the same height as them so I also save on stands).
The reviews and comments on the Internet finally were very right indeed...
I chose them after listening to them side by side with the competition and I liked them more than all the others. The only sure thing is that they have nothing to envy from the top sellers in the category -JBL, KRK, etc.- on the contrary. Not to mention that they are among the most aesthetically pleasing and quiet in hiss noise. You definitely can't call them completely flat; they are quite "colored," especially in the highs, and generally have a HiFi quality. Just enough, though, to sound sweeter and more musical without being tiring or losing significantly in balance. Overall, they are not perfect; they fall short in soundstage and accuracy/resolution in mids and lows, especially for production-mixing. But if you are looking for monitors for mixed use, they are a good VFM choice with a very fun to listen sound.
