PETG is ideal for beginners and advanced printing levels, as it is easy to print and offers an excellent balance between ease of printing and durable prints. Its base material is very clear, thus the neutral version provides semi-transparent results.

The printing temperature is higher, so the temperature resistance of the prints is greater compared to other materials. If you notice (very) stringing during printing, it is better to try a higher temperature. PET-G (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a very durable, waterproof thermoplastic, with a beautiful glossy finish.

PET is a well-known plastic, as it is primarily used in the production of soft drink bottles. In recent years, this material has become very popular for 3D printing, as it combines many of the excellent properties of both ABS and PLA. Printing with PETG is almost as easy as with PLA and requires a little more effort.

The adhesion of the material itself is very strong, so the first layer should be pressed as much as PLA, as the material can accumulate around the printer head, ruining the print. Layer adhesion is excellent, making the final print very strong and flexible instead of brittle like PLA. PETG does not adhere very well to other materials, as the glue does not have good adhesion to the material.

Another great property of PETG is that the neutral palettes are almost clear, giving us the opportunity to offer wonderful transparent shades. PET-G can be printed with or without a heated bed with minimal to no warping, using 3DLAC. It is recommended to use a heated bed at 65 degrees, as the print will release automatically during cooling.

The optimal extrusion temperature is 245 degrees, as a lower temperature will result in more stringing.
