The PLA filament Gray 2.85 mm 1000 g for 3D printers is of top quality, produced in the Netherlands. Real filament guarantees that the PLA is high-quality and has a consistent diameter, ensuring the best 3D printing experience.

PLA filament is available in many shades, and different types from the Real brand are also available. PLA (polylactic acid) is one of the oldest and most widely used materials in the 3D printing community, mainly due to its advantages as a versatile and environmentally friendly thermoplastic.

It is organic and biodegradable and can be easily combined with other ingredients to influence its final properties, such as flexibility and metallic texture.

  • The transparency of Real PLA is a clear cream shade.
  • The printing temperature ranges from 195 - 205 degrees (depending on the characteristics of the hot end).
  • The dark shades of Real may require a few extra degrees of temperature due to the coloring process.
  • The filament is expected to extrude smoothly and appear slightly glossy.
  • It is denser and more durable than ABS, but more brittle and prone to cracking under high loads.
  • It has less resistance to external conditions (UV light and water) compared to other common thermoplastics.
  • PLA can print well on a non-heated surface using Blue Painters or Kapton tape.
  • For convenience, the use of sprays like 3DLAC on a glass surface is recommended.
  • A low bed temperature between 50 - 60 degrees further reduces the likelihood of warping.

A truly bad filament. I really don't know why this brand has good reviews. I guess it's from people with low expectations in printing. This filament is really very bad. I don't even know how to describe why. First of all, it's a matter of luck whether it will stick or not. So what if you use a brim, so what if you clean the bed with alcohol or acetone, so what if you increase the temperature on the bed, on the nozzle, it will detach if it wants to. But even if it doesn't detach and completes a print, it will be a bad print. I have made prints with figures using another brand's filament and it came out as if it was resin. I tried the same figures with this filament and they look like melted chocolate at best. And let's not even talk about demanding figures. It doesn't print well even a keychain or a bookmark. Truly disappointing. I was swayed by the reviews here for this brand and made the mistake of buying two colors, brown and purple. I will use them for silly prints like boxes just to say that I didn't throw them away.

Very good and high-quality filament. I print perfectly on my Ultimaker 2+.
