PLA is ideal for beginners and new 3D printing users, as it is easy to work with and offers excellent results. PLA (polylactic acid) is one of the most commonly used materials in the 3D printing community, primarily due to its advantages as a versatile and environmentally friendly thermoplastic material. It is organic and biodegradable, with the capability to blend with other components to enhance its final properties, such as flexibility.

The translucency of PLA is semi-transparent, and the printing temperature ranges between 195 - 205 degrees, with darker shades potentially requiring a few extra degrees of temperature. The filament extrudes smoothly and looks slightly shiny. PLA is denser and more durable than ABS, but it is more brittle and prone to cracking under high loads.

It can print well on a non-heated surface using Blue Painters tape or Kapton tape, as well as on most self-adhesive 3D printing labels. It is recommended to use sprays like 3DLAC on a glass surface, while a low bed temperature between 50 - 60 degrees reduces the likelihood of warping.
