Additionally, the protrusions on the front (supposedly to prevent the laptop from falling) should definitely be HIGHER because the laptop comes from above them, so if it moves, it slides towards the void.

  I bought this stand for my laptop and I am very satisfied! I have been looking for an affordable and decent stand for a while and this is by far the best. I did not try it on any other surface because personally, I only wanted it for my desk. Also, in the pictures you see, I have it at the lowest height.
