Lightweight yes, soft yes.... Do not make the mistake and take them for waterproof (like gore-tex for example).. no comparison. They may be suitable for rain, but for border guards/hunters/farmers with a lot of moisture, mud, water, STAY AWAY!! I learned it the hard way. In a field with wet clover due to moisture at 0⁰C, my feet froze in a second!!

Did you find this review helpful?Although it is too early to evaluate since I just received them and they have not been tested in adverse working conditions (livestock farmer), I cannot fail to mention how lightweight these boots are. Without exaggeration, speaking about size 44 (US 10), a military-style old type boot (without even the cushioning at the top) weighs approximately as much as 3 aeropelma duetto 9.
Update
After more than a year of brutal use, by a 110 kg user, covering many kilometers on rocks, mud, manure, mountains, water, and dirt roads, the boots are almost as good as when I bought them with proper maintenance, of course (brushing with camel hair once a week and cleaning with a rubber but not at night). The only exception and the reason for giving 4 out of 5 stars is the sole! Due to its lightweight and softness for the boot to be lightweight and comfortable, it is not durable, resulting in pieces breaking off. However, it can be repaired by resoling
