So I bought it to replace a pioneer I had for 15 years!!!!
In terms of sound, it is very high quality!
But!!!
It doesn't have filters (it says it in the specs) while other brands do...
It only plays USB 2 and above it displays a message saying no support
And the best part is that it doesn't support any modern android, I tried several devices and they were all useless.
No support from Sony... You go to their website and there's nothing about updates
Overall, a failed purchase, with the same amount of money one can get better machines
- For the price of 70€, it is impeccable! All buttons are user-friendly, the screen is easy to read, and the sound is clear! The radio reception surprised me!
- It requires switching the red cable with the yellow one during installation in order to save stations and settings.
- A very good solution for a simple radio/usb, when others with the same or fewer capabilities cost 100€ and above.
The installation is a bit difficult. You don't need to go to a repair shop and pay an extra 10-20 euros. Just be patient and careful with the instructions and it will be fine. The sound is great. Also, for those who want to use USB Lighting for the iPhone, know that when you receive a phone call, it won't be heard from the speakers but from the phone itself.
Gentlemen, just to help avoid anyone saying anything random.
All car radios require a constant power supply (the yellow wire) that is connected to the car's fuse box, where it provides power with the car switch off, or directly to the battery with a fuse, always if you cannot find a constant power supply with the switch off. Similarly, the red wire goes to the car switch, meaning power from the fuse box that cuts off the power with the switch off, or from a wire that cuts off the power. These are the meanings of the yellow constant, red switch, and it is a rule, neither one nor the other, and both as I mentioned, where it should be
What can I say first about the radio.
I have been amazed by the sound quality, it also has a very good receiver that catches many more stations than before.
I really like that it finds the stations very quickly when you search!! It finds the next station in 1 second.
It caught 38 stations while the old radio caught around 10 stations.
The only thing I regret is that it doesn't have the future digital services DAB/DAB+ (digital radio).
The next model has them, but when will they start outside Athens?
It replaced an 18+ year old radio that caught the basic stations.

The volume button has such a nice feel that I can say I'm addicted to adjusting it, it has very good responsiveness and a nice sense of precision.

Then, switch the yellow cable with the red one.
Try it first before "locking" it, then see why I made the mistake and did it beforehand and in the end, the cable change was not necessary.
1) Since it doesn't save the memory, you can switch the yellow cable with the red one (Many children have also mentioned this and it is written in the Greek manual included in the packaging).
2) Regarding the "issue" with the USB randomly playing songs and not allowing us to go to the previous song, you have simply enabled "shuffle play".
<<To disable it while in USB MODE, press the "4" button until it says OFF!!! (once it says off, the icon on the screen will disappear).>>
3) In USB MODE, you can change the song folders using the "1" and "2" buttons. And play/pause with "6".
4) The first time you set it up, when it shows the DEMO indication, set it to OFF.
5) I really like the volume button, it doesn't lose any sound when you turn it and it's very stable.
6) The USB should be formatted as FAT32.
7) Lastly, but very important, a way to display song names when playing from USB:
<<Download the songs in .flac format from YouTube and they will have the song information embedded. Otherwise, in .mp3 format, you have to manually copy the song name to the track title one by one through the PC (Properties --> Details --> Title).>>
In terms of quality, it is perfect and identical to the Sony DSX-A410BT (≈100€) with the only difference being the Bluetooth and microphone for calls.
I bought 2 pieces for the 2 family cars, it doesn't play all the songs from the USB, from 1 it goes to 6..to 10..18...wherever it wants! And when I called Sony customer service, they more or less told me that they can't guarantee that it will play all the songs even if they are in the same file format.... I tried with different USB sticks on both devices and it does the same thing... Money wasted! A random Chinese one that I could have bought for 25 euros would play all the songs from the USB and I could go forward and backward to any song I wanted, unlike this one that doesn't go back to the previous song, it just starts the same one from the beginning!!!
A very beautiful source with crystal clear sound even at high volumes. I have it paired with a pair of Hertz Uno K165 and it is simply flawless in every way. It delivers 27 real watts rms per channel. Very good lighting and easy menu with many functions. The only downside is the custom equalizer it offers, because there you need to know what each frequency you adjust does in order to customize it correctly. The radio signal is perfect and the extra bass really does the job it is made for. Compared to a Pioneer at the same price, there is quite a difference (for the better always)!
23/2/2024: It still plays like the first day of purchase, with strong use (volume almost daily at 35-43 out of 50 max). For the past 5 months, it has been playing with a set of TRF split speakers along with a Pioneer active subwoofer. And all 4 speakers draw power from the same source, not from an amplifier.

For the "basic category" it is the best you can buy for around €50.
The sound quality has dramatically improved compared to before.
The radio reception is extremely more sensitive, while the volume can reach the limits of the (wow) speakers.

It has a fuse inside the packaging in case the existing one doesn't fit. The signal from the radio is amazing, the power is sufficient, and the quality for the price is very good. It also has an indication of the car battery voltage.
I had the corresponding Pioneer MVHS120 and when I put in the Sony, the sound changed for the better and the radio reception became much better. I highly recommend it.
The product is very good for its price, fair for 50 euros. The only negative thing about it is related to what most people mention, the issue with the settings not being saved. However, if you change the cables and put the red one in the place of the yellow one in the small socket, then you won't have any problem. Your settings will be saved normally.
The one star is solely due to the quality of the plastic, especially the volume button which feels very fake and with the slightest touch, you can change the settings. Other than that, it is decent and the button for extra bass is convenient.
In one word, VfM for 50e for what it offers!

Honest product at a bargain price. Clean sound and very good receiver. Those who have a problem with storing the settings, in the secondary power outlet (the one with the bulge connection at the edge and not in the middle), should remove the red and yellow cables and connect them in reverse.
Perhaps one of the most affordable radio/USB devices available on the market... with excellent sound and good build quality for its price.
It is good for its price but it plays well, but the bad thing is that when you turn off the car, all the settings I had made are lost and we start from the beginning every time you get in the car, the same as before.. as anyone can see.. but the sound is perfect.
