M.2 SSD hard drive case with USB 3.0 port for speeds up to 5Gbit/s.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
It doesn't work with NVMe. While the slots are designed to fit NVMe as well, it has a note on the back while all SATA M.2 I know have 2 slots. It's like they want to confuse you...
The product description was not clear. It was purchased to be used with NVMe drives, but it is not compatible with them, so be careful. When I inserted the drive, the board overheated significantly and the USB port stopped working. Fortunately, the drive was not damaged (it was used on another machine).
A decent case that does its job, but it is quite expensive for old SATA technology and also lacks anything remarkable in terms of aesthetics compared to other cases on the market
It does not work with NVMe drives. This limitation is not obvious from the product description. Apart from that, the build quality seems excellent. When connected to an NVMe drive, it heats up very quickly. I hope my drive works, but unfortunately, I cannot test it yet.
Good, simple and useful, it worked perfectly and that was the goal
A great product, don't forget to put the screws to keep the hard drive stable inside... check the instructions
Very good and cheap solution.
Pay attention to the M2 disks and cases, as you should be careful about the KEY (connection pin) of the disk you want to install.
This specific case is for B-Key and B-Key+M-Key M2 disks, not for M-Key disks like the newer Nvme ones.
Unexpectedly good for the reason I bought it! It works with the drive I inserted into the usb3 ports. Nice metallic construction, slightly larger in size than a regular usb with the difference that here you have a whole drive with you!
This particular case is one of the cheapest of its kind (when I bought it, it was also the only one available). It is sturdy and of very good quality, something that characterizes the company as far as I have understood (I have other products of theirs as well). It is also much smaller and more discreet than it appears (or at least it seemed to me), which is always good. The only drawback is that the instructions for installing the disk are not very clear and the pictures are quite small. Also, there is no video or material on the internet that shows the installation more clearly, so you have to look at a similar product from the same company and make 2-3 attempts. Apart from that, it might have been useful to have a screw/slot for M.2 2230 (it has M.2 2242, 2260, and 2280), but I didn't need it and maybe there is some logic behind why they didn't include it.
Worked fine with Crucial MX500 SATA M.2 SSD. Note that the product only supports SATA and not the newer and faster NVMe drives. It also supports SSDs with B or B+M keys (these are the notches/slots on the M.2 SSD, B = top notch, B+M = top and bottom notch). Therefore, it does not support drives with M key.
Reply to the comment that the Samsung did not fit inside. Quite logical since the product has a Sata interface, meaning it is for Sata m.2 drives, not pci express nvme which is what Samsung is. It is good to pay attention to what you are buying before purchasing it. The case is perfectly fine for what it offers
The Samsung 970 EVO plus does not fit at all!!! The SSD should have 2 slots, which it does not mention anywhere!!!!
Excellent product works flawlessly for 1.5 years. Quality materials, scratch and drop resistance
Old technology. It does not work with NVMe hard drives.
It requires its own screwdriver for the installation of the SSD.
It broke in a few months
Does not fit M-key ssd
