Continuing the legacy of Noctua's NH-U series, which has received more than 500 awards and recommendations from international websites and magazines, the NH-U12S heatsink has become a benchmark in slim 120mm high-compatibility heatsinks. The SE-AM4 version is a special edition for the AMD AM4 (Ryzen) platform, featuring the latest SecuFirm2™ mounting system for AM4.

I have it for 1 year on Ryzen 7 3800x. In idle mode, the temperature is around 30-33 degrees, in games it reaches up to 64-65 degrees, while in audio and video processing where we have full load it goes up to 74. These are the temperatures during winter with room temperature around 20 degrees.
During summer with room temperature at 30-32 degrees, we have idle temperatures of 38-40, gaming temperatures up to 72-74, and full load temperatures up to 82-84. I don't have a comparison with another cooler (I didn't try the stock one) on this specific processor, which is generally hot due to its 7nm architecture, but personally, I am very satisfied. The installation was very easy, although I did remove the motherboard to make my work more comfortable. The cooler fit perfectly in the aerocool aero 300 faw case. It has a very high-quality construction, sturdy, and comes with a thermal conductive tube as a gift, as well as cables to add a second fan if you want to do push-pull. Lastly, I would like to mention that it is quiet even under full load, although I am not so sensitive to the sound of fans, but the stock cooler of the Ryzen 3 that I have in another PC is more audible...
The best company in this specific field, plus it gives you a paste that on its own costs around 10€. Completely silent if you don't care about the visual aspect like I do, which is a bulky thing that stands out in order to achieve these performances and be silent at such a price in cooling you want 120-130€
With Ryzen 5 1600, whatever I say is little. From 35 degrees idle temperature with the stock cooler, now I have 25 and it's completely silent. As for the packaging, it's something else, it has everything. Bravo to Noctua. (I don't play games)
With the Ryzen 5 2400G and the stock cooler, I had around 40 degrees Celsius in idle during the summer, and in gaming (FSX) I had seen up to 70 degrees Celsius! With the Noctua cooler, I haven't noticed significant differences in idle temperatures (2-3 degrees lower), but in FSX it didn't exceed 60 degrees Celsius. (The temperatures are from ASUS AI Suite 3). In a stress test with OCCP, it reached up to 74 degrees Celsius, while with the stock cooler I remember it being 80+. The installation is not difficult and it fits in a mid-tower case (Cooler Master MB600L). It doesn't take up much space on the motherboard (Asus Prime B450M-A), and the RAM fits comfortably. I haven't used it much yet, so I don't have a clear picture of the temperatures. I will test it more and come back. As for noise, nothing can be heard except for a slight hum, and that only when it's running at max speed. I plan to install a second fan, a Noctua of course.
Very good Premium cooler from Noctua for AM4 motherboard MSI Tomahawk B450 Ryzen 2600X. It fit perfectly on the 2600X without any issues and without touching any memory modules, etc. It works at 33 degrees idle and 58-65 degrees under stress, which is great considering that the 2600X is a hot processor. If I increase the fan speed in the case, the temperature drops even more, but it becomes a matter of noise/performance afterwards. You can't hear anything from the cooler, the loudest noise comes from my old HDD. A very high-quality product, silent, and it will do the job it is intended for.
I put the Noctua guarantee in a case with quite poor airflow and the temperatures improved significantly compared to the stock cooler and some other aftermarket coolers I had tried. It is quite silent, the installation is very easy, and its size is not too big so it will fit in most cases.
Unbelievable cooler!! I bought it to replace the factory Wraith Spire cooler of an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 that I have because the Wraith Spire made a low but distinctive noise that bothered me.. The Ryzen 5 1600 already has low temperatures (55 oC MAX for me, with 100% utilization on all cores for over 10 minutes of use in Blender, measurements via HWMonitor, at a speed of 3392MHz instead of the MAX of 3693MHz due to preset power settings from the chipset drivers) but the Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 managed to lower them even more!! -10 oC from the factory, meaning 45 oC MAX with the same timings and ambient temperature! And as for noise?? Minimal!!! Of course, the Noctua FAN is PWM, which gave me the ability (via BIOS) to create custom curves and make my PC completely silent. At the moment, I'm running it at around 850 RPM in stage 1 (of the custom curves) and I have 35-37 oC at IDLE. At full load, I have 48 oC but it's completely silent... I don't need to comment on the build quality and packaging accessories, the warranty that the Noctua name provides says it all!!!
