It cannot read barcodes that have a protective film or transparent tape in several cases.   So, first of all, in order not to make the same mistake as me: the USB stick that you use to connect it to the PC (wireless) is attached to the body of the scanner. When I opened the box, I said: "Oh no, they didn't include the USB stick"....ready to call the store and at the last moment I saw it.
  Now, about the product: I plugged in the USB stick (which I couldn't find) into the PC, pressed the trigger on a random barcode and...it worked!!! It's as plug-n-play as it gets!
  Top product for its price. It takes a little practice with the scanning angle, but 9.5 out of 10 times it recognizes the barcode in about 0.5 seconds!
  You can buy it with your eyes closed if you want something good and economical!
