From the moment I started it, something was not right. I called the store where I bought it and told them that the water tank is not filling up, and they told me to leave it running for 24 hours as the user manual says.
After 24 hours, I have to say that it managed to increase the humidity from 67% to 85%, as you can see in the photo, without a drop of water in its tank.
Also, the store recommended me to contact the manufacturer.
Conclusion: it was a big mistake of mine not to buy a Toyotomi, which I have had for a while and it is excellent!

Did you find this review helpful?I have no other experience with dehumidifiers, but I have had this one for 10 days and we were impressed from the first couple of hours. For a 95 sqm house, we have the 20L one and it is sufficient. You can place it in a hallway, somewhere in the middle of the house, or wherever is convenient for each person depending on the layout of the house, and if needed, you can move it to a different space 1-2 times a day (for example, we put it in the bedroom for an hour before going to sleep). The house had about 75% humidity and within a couple of hours, it dropped to 60%, depending on the day, heating, and other factors that affect it. Gradually, it reduces it even more. Roughly, we turn it on for about 8 hours a day on the medium setting, meaning 2-3 hours in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and we empty the bucket every night, which is almost full.
It seems to be of high quality construction, user-friendly, with plenty of options for everyone's taste, and it also comes with a 5-year warranty. The only drawback is the noise, but I think it is unavoidable in all dehumidifiers (I read many reviews for many models before choosing this one, and there are complaints about noise for all models from some people). Don't imagine that it makes a terrible noise, it is also subjective to what bothers each person. I would say roughly that the noise of the 3 levels of the dehumidifier is about the same as the 3 levels of a medium range extractor fan. Like if the extractor fan is in another room and especially on a low setting, it doesn't bother you much, the same happens with this dehumidifier. We never put it on the highest setting because of the noise, power consumption, and mainly because it is not necessary, and usually, we have it in the hallway where it hardly bothers us at all. During sleep, we have tried setting it on a timer to turn off and work on silent mode until then. I could slightly hear it from the hallway, but it didn't bother me at all, on the contrary, my wife says it bothers her and prefers to turn it off.
We would buy it again, very satisfied.
For those who have no idea about how humidity works and haven't measured it for so many years, like I had no idea either, they should know that (depending on weather conditions, windows, the floor, etc.) a few hours after the dehumidifier turns off, the previous high humidity returns, so it necessarily needs to work for several hours during the day. In most houses, you can't say that you turn it on for 2-3 hours in the morning, it reduces the humidity, and then again the next morning. By the evening, it is almost certain that the initial humidity will be back, maybe even earlier.

It would be even better if the water collection container was for more liters. If your space is not almost uniform, you will need to move it, for example from the living room to the rooms, or to buy a second one. I have a living room, a lounge, and a kitchen in 70 sqm and it does a great job. For the rooms, I move it to the entrance. Anyway, it is worth its money. I bought it in 2019 for 199€.

- FAN NOISE:
It has 3 fan speeds (silent - medium - turbo). The noise level is tolerable on low, allowing one to sleep in the same room.
(The sleep mode is valuable as it produces moisture from the expelled air, equivalent to about 1 liter of water per person during the night).- COMPRESSOR NOISE:
The major drawback of all compressor dehumidifiers. The compressor makes noise (like a refrigerator motor) which is more intense during startup and then softens. This is expected since the system (like almost all dehumidifiers in the Greek market) is not inverter but on/off. However, the noise level is at best tolerable, allowing one to sleep in the same room, ONLY if the humidity level is set low for the compressor to operate continuously without turning on and off. Otherwise, the frequent restarts of the compressor will wake you up... unless you are a heavy sleeper!Compared to the Japanese MITSUBISHI (which I borrowed for 2 days after purchasing the INVENTOR), the noise levels of the Inventor's compressor are slightly higher, but the noise of the compressor in the Mitsubishi is much sharper and therefore (in my subjective opinion) perhaps a bit more annoying.
For a dehumidifier with the fan as the only source of noise, you should look for a model without a compressor, i.e., with zeolite (porous rock), where the disadvantages are mainly related to significantly higher power consumption and the necessary use of filters to prevent clogging of the rock pores, which is not necessarily bad since the air is filtered.

As an owner of a MIDEA WiFi air conditioner, I was aware that the app, which is the same, would not work. And indeed, it does not work on all android platforms (in this case, emui). If it works for you, you belong to the minority.- AIR FILTERING:
Absolutely none because it does not have filters, only a mesh that captures dust, etc. After 2 years of use, it collected dust on the element. I disassembled and cleaned it relatively easily. On the other hand, without filters, you save the cost of replacing them, and the airflow is easier. For this reason, it is suitable for drying clothes!- FAN OPERATION INTERRUPTION:
The fan operates continuously. In previous models without WiFi, the fan would stop working as soon as the unit reached the desired humidity. However, this resulted in the hygrometer detecting the humidity coming from the water tank and restarting after 2-3 minutes. With the fan restart, the hygrometer detected the humidity of the environment and after 2-3 minutes the unit would turn off. And again from the beginning! The manufacturer solved this with a simple solution: the fan operates continuously, meaning that after reaching the desired humidity level, the hygrometer only reads the ambient humidity. This is POSITIVE because it avoids frequent and annoying restarts, as well as NEGATIVE compared to other dehumidifiers with a different design philosophy, in which the continuous operation of the fan is avoided, thus also avoiding the corresponding noise pollution and energy consumption.Compared to the Inventor Eva ION Pro EP3-WiFi (the latest model), the only differences are that the Inventor Eva ION 1) also interrupts the operation of the fan when the unit reaches the desired humidity levels (unknown if this entails frequent restarts), and 2) has filters (consumables) which, however, are small in size (i.e. they do not cover the entire surface of the element).

Initially, I let it work all night for 10 days, then it didn't need to run as much. Combined with heating, it must be very powerful. Its ionizer works fine and eliminates any odors from the room. The connection to WiFi was a bit difficult as the app initially didn't recognize the device, but then everything was okay. The 20 model has the same size as the 16, so the difference aims at continuous use for larger spaces. It is easily movable with wheels. It automatically stops when the tank is full. I recommend it.

But the worst part is the noise it makes, about 1 minute after you turn it on, the compressor starts, which in my dehumidifier at least, makes a lot of noise and it's not the airflow but a continuous "chirp chirp" as if the fan is touching something inside the dehumidifier and creaking. I bought it from a well-known chain in case I needed to exchange it, I took it back on the 5th day after purchase as the noise was unbearable even in silent mode. They told me they would send it to the dealership for inspection and inform me.
Their service is UNACCEPTABLE as they have already kept the product for twice as long (today is the 10th day) without any updates. I will come back later to inform if they finally replaced it or consider this noise normal. For now, 1 star.UPDATE: After 1 month of waiting, it was replaced not by the dealership's order as they found the noise normal but by the store's order. The dealership, every time I contacted them, was very helpful, however, the 2nd machine makes a similar noise, maybe a little less for now, so it wasn't a manufacturing mistake but the normal noise that this particular model makes. Also, I want to emphasize that the dealership itself told me that the dB they provide are in a specific space with specific temperature and humidity. So don't even consider the dB they give as it is purely a marketing trick. As I mentioned before, the dehumidifier does its job correctly and quickly (dehumidifying the room), but you can't sleep in the same room, not even in silent mode, and the noise levels are definitely not what is stated. I want to point out that the strange noise that is heard (both in this and in the previous machine I had) is ultimately from the refrigerant, as I was told. So besides the airflow, this noise is also heard and it is very annoying indeed.

That one was 14 and cost twice as much as this one, which is 20. I believe the noise is at normal levels since it has a compressor. The wifi connection is helpful and very easy. For what it is and what you get, as a dehumidifier it is excellent in terms of functionality, dehumidification, and air purification. If you put a dehumidifier in your house for the first time, it takes 2-3 days of strong operation to see a difference in your home. Once these first few days pass, the atmosphere is generally completely different, always for the better.
