A very good game for those who love survival horror games. I recently bought it and the impressions are very good. The game was supervised by Shinji Mikami (resident evil, resident evil 4). The evil within 2 is a very good blend of resident evil, silent hill mainly with elements of the last of us. It has quite a few jump scares where everything is calm and you don't expect it. The environment where the protagonist is suddenly changes and reminds me of silent hill 3. The various bosses are terrifying, worthy of good horror movies. The game is difficult compared to resident evil, last of us in normal difficulty level. The ammunition is scarce. The main weapon, the pistol, does little damage to the simple zombie enemies. Resources for upgrading character abilities and weapons must be used carefully. The sound is excellent. When you are in a save room, there is relaxing music, feeling safe and calm before the hero goes out to face the nightmarish creatures in this world. The absolute silence when you are in the city, hearing the sound of the wind, the footsteps of the character. The music, anxious and terrifying, enters in the appropriate scenes. The only negative thing in the gameplay is the camera when the hero is in stealth mode and hiding in tall bushes. The camera does not work like in games like Assassin's Creed, where the hero hides in a spot and the camera automatically moves away, giving a good view of the area. However, for me, it is something that can be gotten used to and is not so important. A game that does not have the name resident evil, last of us, silent hill, but is very good and from what I have read, seen in videos, has good replay ability. Although I am still playing it, I have already ranked it among the top ones of this genre from what I have played (resident evil remake, 4, fatal frame 2, alien isolation, silent hill 2,3, last of us). For the price it has, it is worth buying and paying attention to The Evil Within 2.

Perhaps the best survival horror game of recent years. It starts shortly after the previous game in the series, has a fantastic plot, and keeps your interest constant until the end. You take on the role of Sebastian Castellanos and once again enter the world of STEM in order to find your daughter, who was believed to be dead until then. The graphics are of very high quality, as well as the sound and gameplay. You have a wide arsenal at your disposal, as well as the ability to upgrade it and create ammunition, which means that each player can use their own approach to exterminating enemies. The battles with the bosses are intense and challenging, as expected for survival horror games. I finished it on hard difficulty and it took me about 25 hours, which is considered quite long for a survival horror game. It is truly nerve-wracking as you need to be very accurate with your shots since ammunition is scarce (maybe not as much as in Alien Isolation..) and it is suitable for both fans of the genre and those who are taking their first steps into the world of horror. It is necessary to have played the first game and its DLCs in order to fully understand what is happening. A true masterpiece that is several steps better than its predecessor.
