I have passed it through holes in walls, the material is not fabric, it is metallic and this makes it much more durable and allows you to bend it at angles for better cable management. I use it with an HDMI splitter to watch simultaneously in 2 rooms from the WIND Vision box. There is no signal loss even though it is 20 meters long!
