And I had the same problem that everyone mentions if I put it on horizontal bars. But as soon as it was placed on vertical ones, I was able to tighten the ropes properly. The construction seems sturdy!
Not at all good construction, the ropes do not stretch and make a "belly", it is very difficult for someone to spread it. I would not recommend it.
I bought this specific clothes rack with great reservation, but there was no other type that would fit my rails. I didn't screw it in like in the pictures because I didn't care about closing it, so I screwed it in further and upside down (see photos) and it's more stable that way. Unfortunately, due to its construction, where the holes are larger than the screws, it results in it twisting inwards and hanging the rope with the weight. The only thing I thought to do is to turn the two sides inwards as much as possible and tighten the rope very well. This way it is very stable, can withstand a lot of weight, but it is crooked, as you can see in the photos!
The construction is not sturdy and with the tension of the cable, it immediately bent at the folding and closing point. I removed this part, resulting in it not closing now, but it is more stable!
If I could give a negative rating, I would.
It states a length of 20 meters. I installed it at 10 meters so that the ropes could be stretched properly, but not even close... probably because the arms are not stable, resulting in the curve hanging too low when something is hung on it. Additionally, the base of one arm bent during the attempt to stretch it.
