The specific lens has been with me for several years, very useful for many different situations.
Very lightweight so you can always have it with you, at 35 millimeters it focuses very close, almost macro-like, at 16 it has some distortion but not as much as other third-party manufacturers like Tamron 17-28 where at 17 millimeters the edges become like a ball.
So the gmaster is the sharpest with the least distortion, with incredible color performance and amazing construction, but with double or more the price. If you're not a professional like me, who makes money from it, I think you can get by with a similar lens at a lower price.
The second version is essentially the same but smaller and lighter with almost 500€ more.
Beware of vignetting from 16-24+, it has a lot more in intense light where you need a filter, especially above 3 stops, I'm talking about video always. So if you want the 2.8 with a filter above 3 stops, you need a very good quality filter so it doesn't have too much vignetting.
The barrel, which starts from 35 millimeters and extends to 16mm, doesn't protrude much, which has a positive effect on using a gimbal so you don't need to rebalance the stabilizer every time you change the focal length.
The 2.8 is quite bright, but not as much if you're used to larger apertures like 1.2, 1.4, 1.8...
Useful? Necessary, I would say! Expensive? Quite!
Worth it? Yes, but!Translated from Greek ·- Quiet

Did you find this review helpful? The best 16-35 that has come out, honestly you understand why they call it gmaster, it is sharp in all mm and has not a single flaw, incredible autofocus, excellent construction, you get what you pay for, I had taken it for a professional trip abroad and it did not disappoint me at all.
