Purchase November 2021. With this machine, I built an entire kitchen almost by myself from scratch (4.10 meters in length). The main material is 16 and 18 mm melamine. Shelves, drawers, dividers, cabinet modifications, 40mm countertop cutting, etc. I was looking for an inexpensive but reputable and powerful circular saw. This particular one is awesome. If you have two good clamps and a straight guide, you can work wonders. It's heavy, sturdy, stable, powerful, fast. I cut the 40mm countertop as if it were cutting paper. Its cutting precision depends on using a straight guide and precise measurements. However, some minor deviations (1-2 millimeters) are not due to the machine, but rather to the way we cut, measure, and especially the guide we use. Its metal base is adjustable, very good and sturdy, it doesn't warp and cuts straight. The single-sided protrusion of the motor makes some cuts difficult, but fortunately, adjusting the height of the guide partially solves the problem. The blade that comes with the machine has 18 teeth, it cuts like a razor, but it leaves some roughness (it tears) on one side of the melamine, while the other side is perfect. I also bought a second blade with 40 teeth from the same brand (piranha), and the result improved, but there was still tearing on one side. So, I cut from the opposite side where I wanted the perfect cut to be visible, and the tearing remained on the inner side. Okay, if you want to do a perfect job and cutting, you will definitely prefer a carpentry workshop. But if you're handy and don't mind minor imperfections (small millimeter deviations), which overall won't bother you that much, it's the perfect tool. It more than pays for itself, and I saved several hundred euros. Value for money.
