I bought it a year ago. I made many excellent rice dishes. Unfortunately, the rice would stick to the walls of the non-stick coating, which shouldn't happen. A year later, it suddenly stopped working. I sent it for recycling. I consider it an unreliable product.
Wrong purchase because I should have asked. Rice is actually better cooked in a pot or in a frying pan. Besides the wrong instructions, I could have looked for something cheaper as a friend told me about another brand.
I have never bought a rice cooker before, this is my first one. It includes a measuring cup for rice and water and a spatula. I would prefer if it also included a steaming tray. It is quite big but it requires attention to the water to avoid spilling during cooking.
Positives:
+ It has a large capacity.
+ Easy to use.
+ Separate On - Off switch.
+ Easy to clean.
+ You can cook a variety of ingredients (bulgur, oats, vegetables, even cake).
Negatives:
- I would like a longer cord.
- The switch has only one function. You turn it on and when the preset time is over, it goes into warming mode.
- It doesn't have separate settings for different ingredients, so you have to check if the ingredient is cooked by being on top. For example, basmati rice requires less time than black rice, etc.
- The rice always sticks to the pot. I don't know why.
After 3 months of moderate use, while it was in operation, the house filled with black smoke and had a strong smell of burnt plastic. If we hadn't noticed it in time or if we were away from home, it would definitely have caught fire. Eventually, when it cooled down, I saw that the bottom of the kettle and the resistors had melted. Very dangerous product! Generally, stay away from Chinese devices of this kind...!
Mine was the model: Sencor SRM1800SS
