The recess of the pressure regulation valve located on the inner side of the lid should also be checked to ensure it is not blocked, using a sharp object

Good evening, guys. So, I bought this pressure cooker for my mother, who used to have a SEB like many Greek mothers. It broke years ago and she didn't have one. We all moved out of the house and she didn't need it, but she wanted one. So, I bought her this one and my mother, even though she can't handle new things and is difficult to teach something new, learned how to use it and she really likes it.
So, it is very easy to operate. Absolutely no effort. It is easy to clean. (Here, I should mention for those who don't know, pressure cookers have two parts, the lid and the pot. The pot can go in the dishwasher, okay, but not the lid. The lids should not be put in because they damage the plastic and the valves.) So, it is easy to hand wash because it is quite lightweight. Also, the valve comes off very easily to be cleaned and function properly. Small tip, because it is shiny on the outside to remain so, wash it with the soft side of the kitchen sponge on the outside and with the rough side on the inside. If washed with the rough side on the outside, it will become dull because it will get scratched.
Good plastic and good construction made in France.
The food cooks quickly and is very tasty! It cooks for 4 people, meaning it is also suitable for two, with the logic of 2 plates for lunch and 2 for dinner, for example. Probably not more, it has a MAX level which holds food for 4 people... maybe 5 at a stretch. I come and eat much more often :D
It is always clean on the kitchen counter and it really beautifies it. Because it doesn't fit in a cabinet. There is the same lid with a deeper pot for more people. I recommend it. It arrived relatively quickly, everything is fine.
From the first use, I realized that it does not work properly. Possibly the valve has a problem, which in the "pressure cooker" mode, after lowering the kitchen flame, it does not stop releasing steam, resulting in the required pressure not being created inside. I will contact the store to have it checked and I will get back to you.... Update: I took it to the service and they told me that there is no problem and that it works properly. Conclusion: no comparison to the previous model "Tefal clipso" that I had. It takes a long time to get started, it takes a long time to cook. I do not recommend it!
Good evening!! The pressure cooker is very good, I always use a Tefal pressure cooker. And I cook almost all my meals there.
It is very lightweight, easy to use, and easy to clean.
I cook with the pressure cooker every day and it saves me time and electricity consumption.
I highly recommend it
The pressure cooker I bought has proven to be excellent in every use. The fast cooking saves time (and money), while the ease of use and cleaning make it ideal even for everyday use. The quality construction materials guarantee durability and reliability. Overall, I am fully satisfied.
In its operation, it is exactly as described in the user manual. In the first use, follow exactly the procedure with the rubber on the lid. One advantage it has is that it does not stick the food to the bottom of the pot. So far, it has not presented any problems.
First time I use a pressure cooker. It is very easy to use and cooks very quickly. It quickly reaches the temperature needed for the valve to rise. The only negative thing I would say is that the pot of the pressure cooker scratches easily, even with very careful movements.
Very good pressure cooker, cooks quickly, doesn't leak, and is particularly fast, almost 5-8 minutes compared to other brands I've had over the years. Its plastic parts don't seem very high quality.
The Tefal pressure cooker proved to be a pound 100! I have had it for 6 years now and I use it at least 2 times a week. Its construction is quite high-quality, while it is lightweight and does what it promises, meaning fast cooking, without leaks and without sticking to the bottom. The Depressurization is done quite quickly and the lid closure is safe and easy. The 8L that I have comfortably meets the needs of a 4-member family.
I bought the 9 lt pressure cooker. It is a lightweight cooker compared to others similar and perhaps this is the reason why it is cheaper than them.
The safety valve that rises and seals the steam outlet so that the cooker starts to build pressure and at the same time prevents the opening of the lid during boiling, at the end of boiling and after we release all the steam from the safety valve, it does not come down on its own as the specifications say (so that we can open the lid) but it requires either pouring some water on it or pushing it slightly with a pointed object.
Its handles are of lightweight construction and not completely stable, and they move slightly if the cooker is moved with a heavy content.
Its base has a small diameter compared to its size and it only fits the medium eye of the kitchen, which greatly increases the time it takes to build pressure, a disadvantage that if I knew beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it just because of that.
It was fine but in 2 and a half years the plastic inside broke as if it melted, and I found an iron ball in my food. Maybe there are spare parts available, but I don't want to risk it. I will buy another one, maybe a cheaper Tefal again. Disappointing that it lasted only that long. I don't know if it was a material defect.
Excellent. Purchased for 120€. Cooks lentils and they turn out delicious. We saved 4 hours of boiling the beans and preventing them from becoming mushy. Everything is ready in max 20-30 minutes. It also comes with a booklet with cooking times. Needless to say, nothing sticks.
Quite a good choice! The new rotary closure is very convenient. However, I expected the handles to close like in the previous model so that it can be stored more easily.
We had a Tefal since 2007. So, due to its age, we decided to replace it with another one from the same company. The purchase was made at the end of September. After two months, despite not being used frequently, the valve broke. Due to the lockdown, the authorized repair shop in our area does not operate. Unfortunately, Tefal is now considered unreliable by us. The recommendation not to buy it is given.
I have purchased the 7.5 and 9 L. I am satisfied both with the performance and the quality of construction. They are lightweight and this serves very well! I recommend them!
The pressure cooker is amazing!! I cook daily for 2 people up to 6+ in the 7.5 lt size. Beef in 25 minutes, giant beans in 35 minutes, it has the cooking times detailed in the booklet. I have had it for two years and it hasn't had any issues. As for the leaks that I read about, it clearly states in the instructions that when boiling beans and potatoes, we should release the pressure under the tap and not from the valve because it gets clogged. The only thing that blocked for me sometimes was the handle after such intense use, but if you pull it upwards without applying pressure, it opens straight away. 1 pressure cooker, one deep pot, and one milk pot are all the cookware you need!!!
It is the first time I buy a pressure cooker and I believe I made a very good purchase... I don't use it every day of course, but when I cook dishes that require hours like beef, with the pressure cooker it is ready in half an hour... I am very satisfied...
I bought it in January 2019 for €79.50. Awesome. Crazy value for money. This year I see it for +€20 but still, I believe it is awesome for its price, comparable if not better than others that cost double.
It could be more high-quality. It is lightweight, which makes it affordable, but this does not mean it will break. What is concerning is its fastening.
This specific pressure cooker does the job it promises, but due to the construction materials, I believe it will not have a long lifespan. Because a friend of mine had the previous model, which differs slightly in appearance, I can say that there is no comparison in terms of construction materials. It is a shame that they compromise the quality of construction and of course the price. I will only say that I chose it because of the price, capacity, and brand name, but personally, if I were to make the purchase now, I would pay a little more for better quality. It has been 7 months since I bought it and it does the job it promises.
We have cooked only 4 times and always according to the instructions written... the last time, specifically with green beans where the amount of food was exactly up to 1/3 of the pot along with water, there were steam leaks from the plastic above the lid that locks it, resulting in the valve never opening and the cooking not being done properly... the lid was closed properly because I checked it twice! We will try it with other foods and see...
Small weight, fast and high-quality cooking, easy opening and closing. The pressure cooker does exactly what I was looking for and logically I am absolutely satisfied with its purchase.
