Appreciate Your Performance

View and analyze the most important metrics such as pace, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and ratio. These biomechanical metrics can help you understand your physical condition so you can improve in your next workout.

The Running Dynamics Pod features a built-in accelerometer that measures your body's movement to calculate 6 important dynamics:

  • Cadence is the number of steps per minute. It displays the total steps (combining the right and left foot)
  • Ground contact time balance shows the right/left balance of ground contact time when running. It displays the percentage, e.g., 53.2, with an arrow indicating the right or left foot
  • Stride length is the length from one footfall to the next
  • Vertical oscillation is your bounce while running. It displays the vertical movement of your torso and is measured in centimeters for each step
  • Vertical ratio is the ratio of vertical oscillation to stride length. It is displayed as a percentage, and the lower it is, the better the running performance usually is
  • Ground contact time is the time your foot touches the ground with each step when running. It is measured in milliseconds

Nice gadget to track more statistics in your running. Lightweight, easily connects but I understand that Garmin will stop producing it. Unfortunately, you can't use it on a treadmill and it's not compatible with Zwift.

    Small and miraculous,
it is so small that we don't realize we are wearing it.
It is placed on the back of the waistband and stays securely because it has a tight grip.
Its job is to measure the stride length, the pressure exerted on the ground, the duration of the step, and the body posture.
It is good to use it with a heart rate monitor belt as they work together and can provide more accurate data
