Call of Duty WWII was a return of the series, with perfect graphics, very nice missions, and some based on real events. The sound was amazing, as well as the gameplay. The game is also very realistic and difficult, even if you have it on easy mode. It reminds me of the old authentic Call of Duty games, and I managed to finish it on veteran difficulty
I have been playing this game since the day it came out and I have good things to say. Firstly, it has the best campaign in Call of Duty that I have played. The story is very good and the missions are not boring. The multiplayer is very good. Even now, 3 years after its release, the game still has players, unlike other Call of Duty games that have been forgotten. The weapons are very nice. The only negative thing about the multiplayer is that the maps look a bit similar to each other. Being a big fan of the black ops series, and having played over 30 hours of zombies, I think WW2 had a bit of a "slump" in terms of the maps not being as nice and in the first map, it gives you instructions to do the Easter egg, which I didn't like because it's not something special, unlike the zombies in black ops where it doesn't give you instructions. The game is still fantastic and worth its money. I recommend getting it, even if it's a bit old.
Guys, this game is truly the best I have ever played in my life. The campaign is simply fantastic and the Nazi Zombies are perfect and different. The best purchase of 2020
Personally, I got the PsPlus Monthly for free. It's a nice change from the fast-paced previous Call Of Duty games that we were used to. It takes us back to World War II and once again, thank you for that. The Single Player, although not many hours, is good and well-developed, with a good cast. Just the cast alone kept me entertained for hours. Of course, the protagonists are always American. I overlook that.
Now, for the Multiplayer, equally thank you. It's a bit more complex for no reason, it confuses you a bit at the beginning, but anyone can quickly understand what's going on. Nice weapons, and of course, if you pay, you progress faster and always have extras, but for those of us who won't spend money, it's still enjoyable.
Gamer Friendly, this Call Of Duty requires more traditional skills such as reflexes, understanding your weapon, and a bit of luck. It's also recommended for someone who wants to gain their first experiences in this game.
The zombies are not anything crazy, it's survival as long as you can endure. So far, the Zombies in Black Ops haven't really hooked me, but it's still worth spending some time on.
All of these things together make it a nice experience, a game that you will give time to play. It's finally a complete Call Of Duty that I believe everyone should play
Good graphics, interesting story, the zombies have improved a bit and the multiplayer is somewhat boring because the maps look a bit expected. I would like slightly better weapons.
Simply amazing game, real situations with real weapons, the graphics are fantastic and so is the atmosphere of the game, the gameplay is as we know it and should be, the story is very good and overall it is a faithful call of duty to its roots! Anyone who has played the first call of duty games will love it
The game is fantastic. Full of excitement and realism. It is based on real battles of World War II and uses the exact same weapons. Incredible graphics and great improvement in the stealth function of the game. I have played it more than 10 times and I never got bored. We still get emotional about Turner's death. The multiplayer needs improvement. It is definitely worth a 4.7/5
The game was released in 2017, a time when all Call of Duty fans were expecting a realistic Call of Duty without jetpacks and futuristic technologies, which we had been saturated with since 2014 and onwards (Black Ops 3, although futuristic in its theme, is very good). The game received a lot of hype from all of us, and that is one of the reasons why it is not considered one of the best Call of Duty games, because everyone expected a perfect Call of Duty that would save the series, but in the end, a mediocre game was released. The issue is that when you see or play it at the beginning, it gives you the impression that it is amazing, but after a few weeks, the problems start to show, which are not problems in the details or major problems in the overall theme of the game, but rather some things that disappoint you when you consider the options among other first-person shooters and Call of Duty games you can play, both among the old ones until the 2012 Call of Duty games, Black Ops 3, and MW 2019, as well as among other completely different games like Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1. The campaign is about World War II, as it is obvious, but it failed to deliver something new or at least exciting, it is simply the story of an American military squad in the war. I consider it inferior to the World at War campaign, which is one of the best World War II games. The multiplayer is obviously better than Infinite Warfare and Advanced Warfare, but it doesn't seem to be more than a simple reskin of Advanced Warfare multiplayer, which has the theme of World War II. I got bored of it relatively faster than the other multiplayer games I play. The WW2 zombies mode is the worst zombies mode in a Call of Duty game. The gameplay has completely changed from what the Treyarch zombies, which we loved in World at War and all the Black Ops games, have. The DLCs are generally not worth it, neither for the zombies maps nor for the multiplayer maps. However, even though it is not a perfect Call of Duty, it is not a bad game, it is a game that fortunately came out at the time it did and probably saved Call of Duty, because if a futuristic Call of Duty had been released in 2017 after so many years of desperation, the general public would have abandoned Call of Duty and today it would be approaching becoming Medal of Honor, that is, non-existent.
Awesome game, amazing graphics, impressive campaign, good plot, very nice stages, very good sound, you will never get bored. One of the best, if not the best, call of duty. It's worth 100% of its money. The only negative for me is the multiplayer, it needs improvement. But otherwise, I liked it a lot and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a war game
The game impressed me, the theme of World War in general doesn't excite me (I prefer black ops). However, with this game, I changed my mind and enjoyed it. Interesting and pleasant characters (as much as one can in a global war setting), good storyline, good gameplay and graphics. The only thing that bothers me is that the campaign could have been longer, but nothing unusual since generally all cod titles have a short story mode, it's in the classics...
I have had it for 3 months now, I have finished it and it is amazing! Very good job from Activision and very moving for me as I am easily affected by wars. Guys, my opinion is to buy it, it's worth the money.
AMAZING! More unique than the new reboot of modern warfare. Great multiplayer, great atmosphere, and it's from sledgehammer. It's worth trying it out even now, at least this one is worth the money it asks for.
It is a misunderstood game and unfairly criticized. I believe that COD is returning to its old good ways, especially with the old COD and the zombies being very good
Great game. Great graphics, perfect storyline, perfect depiction for that era. HOWEVER, disappointed with the duration, meaning the story was very short, unfortunately. Perfect
The graphics are the best, very realistic. The sound of the battles is very nice and clear, the scenes are amazing, and the gameplay is the best I have seen. However, I have a complaint about the story mode, it is very short and not enjoyable. The multiplayer is average but updated, it has many bugs and some flaws (for example, not all the maps are original, some are copied from Black Ops). The game is not worth the high price, only because of the story mode, as it is very short.
Positives: graphics, gameplay sound, scenes, and the game keeps you hooked for the two weeks it took me to finish it (story mode). I played for two hours a day and I was very addicted.
Average: value for money, multiplayer.
Negatives: very short story mode
Very good, both in terms of graphics, battles, and sound. Especially the scenes of the Normandy invasion were on par with Soldier Ryan, you know. Unfortunately, it's small. It needs another 7 euros off.
I played it only for the campaign and it's incredible. It reminded me a lot of the Metal of Honor era. Much more polished in every aspect compared to Battlefield 1, which I also have. It's not as small as they say, at least bigger than Battlefield 1. As for the multiplayer, if Sony doesn't have it for free as it should, I don't think I'll ever play any online game. So, I don't have an opinion on that.
The game has several issues that prevent it from receiving 5 stars. Firstly, the weapons have fake sounds like airsoft guns, which is unacceptable. They should have recorded sounds from real weapons. Additionally, when reloading multiple times, the movements are incorrect and the rate of fire for the MG42 is completely wrong. Instead of firing 1500 rounds per minute, it barely reaches 500. Furthermore, there are many historical inaccuracies, such as having black Nazi women in multiplayer, crosses instead of swastikas, and weapons from the Eastern Front like the PPSh in Normandy. The multiplayer is mediocre at best, much slower compared to previous WWII games like World at War. The inclusion of laser weapons, terrible maps with limited routes, and small map sizes, lacking the ability to drive vehicles, make it disappointing. Microtransactions and loot boxes only worsen the multiplayer experience. The zombies mode is also mediocre compared to Treyarch and Activision's zombies. All the maps are similar, dark, and depressing. It also provides unnecessary and complicated perks that make the gameplay easier but more convoluted. In short, they made zombies into a science when it wasn't necessary. The best part of the game is definitely the campaign, but it suffers in many aspects. It is filled with cutscenes, the levels are relatively small and few, and it can be completed in 6-8 hours. I liked the story and the graphics, which are at a good level but not groundbreaking. As mentioned before, the weapons are unacceptable, with many having incorrect names like the M1928. In my opinion, someone who is not interested in multiplayer or historical accuracy might enjoy the game. However, as someone who grew up with COD Finest Hour and Big Red One, which may not have had multiplayer but did what they were supposed to do well, COD WWII is a disappointment. It would be better for someone to play Wolfenstein 2 or Battlefield. Wolfenstein has a much better campaign and Battlefield has a much better multiplayer
The best Call of Duty of the last decade!!! Simply addictive!! Very nice story, incredible gameplay and graphics, it puts you in the skin of war as if you were playing in a movie! I hope Activision continues to release realistic war games like this, and not robots and advanced weapons. I would love to see a remake or remaster of the first Call of Duty games that had this style, up until Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 1.
I bought it solely for multiplayer. We play with a group of 6 friends every day for 5 months. Overall, the game is good but there are moments when it loses its quality. For example, you aim and hit the other player, but it shows that you missed. There are tracks where the spawns are terrible. You run and suddenly get shot from behind. After 3 months, they added DLC and suddenly you find yourself using a scope with skulls, stars, etc., when before you were just a regular player. Those who play know what I mean. In any case, it's a very good game but it still needs some work to be considered perfect. COD
P.S. I don't judge the game negatively, but just so you know, it's addictive once you start playing
Finally, COD WW2 returned to the Second World War. The game has a very nice plot and storyline in singleplayer, and the sound is like being in a movie. In general, the game is good, but what I didn't like was that the multiplayer didn't remind me much of the Second World War, as it was overly fast-paced action, which made it less realistic.
Positives: sound, graphics, single player, zombies
Negatives: overly fast-paced action for the Second World War, relatively short single player
Very good, nice story, very good gameplay, nice graphics. The only downsides are that it has a short story and the multiplayer is not good because the match lasts only 5 minutes. It's not worth playing multiplayer at all, only the story is worth it
Finally a Call Of Duty back in World War II.
We got tired of the futuristic settings and exo-suits.
The game will not disappoint most players, with a very nice but short campaign (it has replay value of course).
The multiplayer is satisfying, with decent maps, and we are looking forward to the next interesting DLCs.
On the Zombies side, it's quite good, but not like Treyarch's (see Bo3).
(Note that the game is being improved and supported by Activision with continuous updates.)
It is a unique Call of Duty and I liked the graphics that remind me of World War 2. As for negatives, I don't have many, it just needs improvement in the multiplayer
I can now characterize this particular game as a monstrosity. Who is the second world war, you tell me. It barely resembles the campaign. In multiplayer, it feels more like the Cold War era. And what are they giving them over at Sledgehammer (Activision is also to blame)? The maps are the worst in any COD game. I will always be killed with one shot from behind. Also, how is it possible for me to shoot the other person first, empty a whole magazine, and then they turn around and kill me with one shot? And I'm not useless, really. In fact, I'm very good, and I consider myself a COD veteran since I'm 20 years old and my first COD was Modern Warfare (2007). Of course, I took it more seriously from 2010 with Black Ops, as that's when I started to get really excited. Anyway, back to this monstrosity. As soon as I showed my great-grandfather, who was in World War II (he's 99 years old), the guns with the red target, he burst out laughing and told me that if we had red targets back then, we would be going to Mars in a flying car for a ride now. I have actually connected my PS3 and I'm playing Modern Warfare and Black Ops (the two best CODs for me, followed by MW2 and BO2) because I can't stand the decline of COD anymore. And the worst part is that the COD community ruined the series, as everything went downhill from Ghosts onwards. It was saved a bit with COD BO3, which I consider the best of the last five years (Ghosts, AW, BO3, IW, WW2), but it went downhill again with IW, and when WW2 was announced, I thought, finally, we're saved, but it turned out to be the game that destroyed the series. And sometimes, just for fun, I ask my brother's friends (who are 10 years old) which is the best COD, and they tell me it's WW2, and I always burst out laughing. Any new COD player who sees what I'm writing here should reconnect their PS3 and buy all the old CODs up to BO2 to understand what CALL OF DUTY means. Finally, I really hope for Treyarch and Black Ops 4. I hope it's set in the modern era, with boots on the ground and all the other amazing things from the old CODs.
In my opinion, one of the best Call of Duty games that has been released.. It's worth having it in your collection just because it's not a future war that we got tired of playing. Finally, a real war for the PS4. The sound is enjoyable, kids, definitely use headphones, otherwise you'll miss half of the game from the TV sound!!
