What is latex?

• In its pure form, latex is the milky white liquid that is tapped from the trunks of mature rubber trees (heveabrasiliensis).

The Talalay Production Process

• A specific amount of lightly foamed latex is poured into a large stable mold-frame in such a way that it fills part of the mold only.
• The cover is sealed, and the latex expands in the vacuum and fills the entire mold.
• Once the latex fills the mold, we reduce the temperature to -30°C to cool and consolidate the latex.
• The latex piece/sheet goes through a washing roller to rinse off any residues.
• Then the product moves under a drying system before arriving at the natural quality control station.
• Each piece of latex is individually checked to ensure it meets the required density and hardness specifications.
