I have been using Mr. Papadakis' aids for years. Excellent, easy to read, they contain the theory with several solved examples and many unsolved exercises of varying difficulty.
It is simply the material of the mathematics book for the 2nd grade of middle school. It has almost the same things and it will not serve anything. The only new thing it has is new exercises that you can find on the internet. Do not waste your money on this book.
It is a very comprehensive aid and I'm not even talking about school requirements. The book not only covers the needs of demanding students, but also those who would like to engage in competitive mathematics. It includes topics at the level of Thales and perhaps a bit of Euclid, so anyone who wants to study Archimedes and beyond will have to turn to more specialized books. It is obviously written for us teachers (like most aids, to be honest) and for those who would like to take notes and see something more. It definitely has more and harder problems than Barla's book (which was the standard choice during my school years), without neglecting more accessible topics. I would recommend it to those who want to show something more to their students. This, along with Mitsiou's book (and perhaps Stergiou's, which I haven't looked at for Part B), are somewhere between a classic school aid and an (introductory) book for competitions.
The best math aid I have seen. I found out that even the school teachers use it to create questions for exams. It has many exercises for practice and the theory is comprehensive and easily understandable.
Very good book! I remember it from my youth, and now I got it for my daughter. After a few weeks of using it, she commented that this is how school books should be.
The book is aimed at good relative students. If you want your child to have a choice of exercises to improve their knowledge in mathematics, the book is excellent. It naturally requires the parent to spend a little time studying with their child.
Very good, very useful. An integral part of everyday study. Detailed, significantly helps in understanding the theory and has many exercises and applications for practice!
