This review is about the power: 1300 W

I bought it after burning the coil of my previous cheaper one. Flawless tool at first sight and second disc with more teeth in the package. With the first cut, you realize that you have a serious tool and how bad and dangerous the previous one was. I cut very small pieces and with the previous one, many pieces were still flying even with a clamp, not to mention that the angles were off and needed readjustment... Now I have a perfect cut without burrs and precise angles... It's a lot of money but it made my job easier and of higher quality...

I have had the miter saw for a short time. From the use I have had so far, the miter saw has great accuracy, excellent finishing on the cutting surface, and even with the blade that comes with the tool having less than 60 teeth, there is a disc available for purchase from the company, so even the most demanding user will be satisfied.
As for the cutting capabilities, it has the same as other models that are more expensive, so it does not lack in that aspect. The more expensive models, such as the DWS777, have a more powerful motor, but for exclusively cutting wood, I don't think anyone will need a stronger motor. It had no trouble cutting spruce, showing that it has extra power.
Excellent portability with a weight of 11.5kg, it can be carried anywhere and achieves good dimensions to be the most portable miter saw without lacking in stability. If someone also purchases the folding base from Dewalt, the DE7033, which is a mechanical engineering success, its design offers great flexibility for cutting long lengths of wood, proper positioning of the miter saw, and easy transportation since it is foldable.
The only negative is that it does not have the ability to lock the head at different cutting depths, so if you want to create a groove for half-lap joints without cutting the entire depth of the wood but only a part of it, you will have to do it manually, but you will definitely not achieve a uniform result in depth. This function is also not available in any other miter saw from the company, apart from the more expensive models like the DWS780, which is priced at around €900. Those models that are slightly more expensive than the DWS774 also do not have this capability, so one does not lose anything by choosing this model. The instruction manual includes images for adjusting the tool and changing the blade, but unfortunately, it does not describe anything in words, which is not typical for the company, so a user who has never used a Dewalt miter saw will not be able to understand. This negative aspect can be corrected if someone downloads the instruction manual for the DWS777 from the Dewalt website, which is similar and has a detailed description of settings and operation, and thus one will understand the DWS774 as well.
