Very good disk application with the screws included in the package. It doesn't move at all...
Fast installation. The mechanic barely fits into the base to connect to the SATA plug...it requires pressure at an angle, with the risk of bending.
The covers are sliding aluminum with decent quality...
The cable and its application seem good...
I believe it will withstand the test of time...
I would buy it again...
The difficult part is when you try to remove the disc to put another one in. Then it falls apart! I have used over 10 cases from various manufacturers. This is by far the worst. It is much worse than a TurboX that I bought many years ago for 7.5€ and has proven to be rubbish!
I have no experience with any other similar product, but the build quality of this one is quite good, it has a nice finish, and it has good data transfer speeds. I could say it's a value for money product.
I bought it and installed a 240GB SSD. Simple in design, but stable. It did not come with the USB communication cable (it was missing). I had to buy it separately. So far, I am satisfied with the purchase. The disk works perfectly without overheating.
I bought this case because of the locking mechanism it has, with a small switch. I put an old WD Black 750GB inside. After about 1 continuous hour of file copying, consistently at 130MB/s, the case had heated up a lot due to the aluminum cover, which I believe helps with cooling the disk.
Wanting to see the speed limits, I decided to put an SSD in it. Using a Toshiba TR200 240GB, which when connected to a SATA on the motherboard gives the following speeds:
Good disk case, but mine came with a stuck base on which the disk screws and I couldn't detach it, so I couldn't screw the disk on it resulting in me sending it back to the store and not being reimbursed for the shipping. They detached it, but didn't acknowledge the problem. In short, it cost me around thirty. The base, on which the disk screws, is made of plastic, maybe it's the same in other cases. The write protection sometimes doesn't work. I preferred it because of the aluminum for better heat dissipation. Maybe overpriced... if I knew, I might have preferred to buy directly from China for half the price, especially when unfortunately some stores don't acknowledge some flaws that the product may have and don't serve properly.
It's worth its money to convert your old hard drive into a portable one. Very easy to use/apply. Very important that it doesn't require additional power (it draws from the USB) and has the ability to make the disk read-only (which means that others cannot delete things or infect it with viruses/malware if you take it to different computers.
Very good. Only I didn't put all the screws inside the box because they didn't make good contact and it was losing them. Otherwise, it works very well now.
I was looking for a case and as soon as I saw this one, I really liked it. As soon as I saw the logo, I ordered it without a second thought. I am completely satisfied with its performance and it has a very beautiful design. It's worth the money. Highly recommended.
