Excellent lens for APS-C and full-frame cameras!

Minus one star because it doesn't have a tripod collar, neither as an optional accessory. The corresponding Tamron lens has it as an extra with an increased price, of course. You can use the tripod with the camera resting on it, but be careful because it is very front-heavy.

In terms of focal range, it is between 70-300 and 150-600. I have those as well. If I had to choose one out of the three, I would choose the 70-300 because it is the smallest and lightest. However, the 100-400 is sharper, with greater magnification, and if someone next to you has the 150-600 with a full frame camera, the 100-400 with APS-C has the equivalent range without having to crop the image. The autofocus speed and image stabilization are satisfactory.
