I have been playing since the PS1 back in 1996 when I was a soldier. As you can imagine, I have played countless games. This one is indeed the top game. Everyone who has dedicated some hours of their life to gaming consoles must play it. I will give you a piece of advice, DO NOT get discouraged at the beginning of the game, persist even if it goes a bit slow and has a lot of information. You will be rewarded later with the best game you have ever played in your life. You will stop and gaze at the environment around you while immersing yourself in a western comparable to the best films of the genre. With a protagonist and a story that will make you addicted to the magic of the game. Play it if you haven't yet, and you will remember me.
Very good graphics, sound, story (if you know English and haven't eaten spoilers), but the gameplay loses a bit, yes you can interact with everyone and customize the weapons etc., but it lacks the ability to rob banks (only in the story it happens) and the train robbery is very difficult without some tricks. Overall a very good game with attention to everything, but it could have been quite better with more types of robberies like banks, illegal businesses, etc

I started the game as a fan of The Last of Us and a hater of the same game for personal, silly reasons for many (specifically that my girlfriend, now ex-girlfriend, was obsessed with the protagonist, Arthur Morgan, saying how handsome he is, etc.). Having 70 hours in the game, without having played the first Red Dead Redemption, since the second game is a prequel (I highly recommend playing 2 first for reasons you'll understand later), I am at 77% of the story, I know roughly what happens, this masterpiece managed to make me go from cursing and "licking" The Last of Us to despising TLOU 2 and considering Red Dead Redemption 2 a part of my life. From hating Arthur Morgan, I now love him and see him as my older brother. With various characters, he is the best-written character, not just from video games, but also from movies, novels, etc. There are no words to describe the love I have for this character and how much he opened my eyes. If you are a person with various problems in life, of any age, Arthur will make everything seem insignificant in many ways. As for the story, simply incredible. I still find it hard to believe that this video game actually exists and I didn't dream it. You might think I'm exaggerating, but as an emotionally sensitive person, the game is excellent. Each character gives off their own vibe. For example, my favorite Hosea Mathews is like your grandfather. Lenny is like your buddy when you were a kid. Susan Grimshaw is like your overprotective mom. The gameplay could be described as addictive. You have so many choices that it hooks you to explore the game as much as you want. Huge map, hundreds of things to discover if you want. In the game, you have the option to be either a good or bad person. This specifically is the honor system. By doing good or bad deeds, it will affect your Honor, which appears at the bottom of the screen as a horizontal bar, with the maximum depicted as a cowboy far right and the minimum as a skeleton cowboy far left. Being low or high honor has its pros and cons (the first gameplay should be completed with High honor). The action, although a bit rarer than some would like, when it happens, makes you focus so much that you forget to breathe. Deadeye is my favorite mechanic in a game because the sight, sound, and feeling for the limited seconds you use it are unmatched. It’s that piece of gameplay you want to feel when you’re waiting for the game to load. You have many options for long guns and short guns, even different types of bullets for each weapon. Specifically, express bullets that do more damage, high velocity that improve accuracy, and many others. The music fits perfectly. Those two soundtracks in the mission called Our Best Selves will make you tear up, even cry. The graphics are also excellent. Not the best, compared to games like The Last of Us 2 or Detroit Become Human, but still very good. A tremendously emotional game as few from the Van Der Linde gang remain alive. The only negative I would say is that it requires a long period of simple riding to reach your destination, but if you're not someone with a burned attention span, and have at least a little patience, it doesn't bother you. If you're that impatient, you can fast travel using the temporary camp you set up. If you want to feel the full emotion, you need to get into the mood and allow yourself to let go and bond with the characters, even with your horse. After all, this will happen with or without the player's will because you will have to take care of the horse a little. Specifically, you need to keep it away from predators like wolves or bears, brush it every now and then, and feed it, which is a matter of 10 seconds.
In conclusion, there is a reason that anyone who has played the game with willingness and patience has said it is a masterpiece, and in 99% of cases, their favorite game. The fact that this game is 20-30€ is literally robbery according to its creators. This game is worth getting a PS4 just for the experience of this game. Buy it yesterday. I doubt you will love it as much as I do, but I hope so. If not, you will still fall in love with it. If you read all of this, first respect, second, the good I wish for you is to buy it and finish it.

The best game in its genre to date. It is unthinkable not to have it in the library of a "dedicated" gamer. It does not belong to the open world games. The truth is that although the game is very old, it does not negate the fact that when there is an amazing job of building and setting up, it remains timeless for years. Having initially the role of Arthur Morgan and in the last part of the game of John Marston, you face the Far West, in all its magnitude. Wonderful graphics and sound, the story if you include the side quests is captivating, the gameplay functional and simple, your characters stay, a huge map to explore with different climates, animals, weather, and cities. Very large in size, many activities to do and engage in or simply possibly just gaze at the environment. The multiplayer is also at a very good level. A gem and not a hidden one.
What to say first about this game.. movies should be blind for the scenarios.... playing exceptional games like ghost of tushima the last of us and many more yet none surpasses and never will surpass this exceptional game.. congratulations to the creators

Very good game, it reminds me of San Andreas GTA but in the Wild West, the developers are simply obsessed and have added countless things. Tremendous work on landscapes, graphics, details in another level, realism, sound, etc. I can't imagine what would happen if a remake came out for the PS5. Now, as for missions and gameplay, while the game offers a lot to do, for some reason it becomes boring after a certain point, definitely one downside is that it doesn't have fast travel, I believe the controls need improvement as well, the weapons and all the items in general are endless and it becomes confusing. With a little work on the gameplay and mainly on the weapons, it would become a masterpiece
The game is perfect, anyone who hasn't played it yet should give it a try if they like story games. Of course, the map is huge and you can do unlimited things. The music is amazing, the graphics are great. The protagonist is maybe one of the best I have ever encountered. The story is quite long and keeps you hooked. You won't get bored of it. The missions, especially some of them, are gems. At 25 euros (or even at 70, for example, with the original price), it deserves a 5/5 rating, it reaches perfection. I don't have an opinion on the online aspect as I didn't really get into it, but it was fine from what I played. One of the best, if not the best, game you will ever play! Note that at the beginning it's a bit boring until you get into the action, but don't give up, you won't regret it. And maybe regarding the horse riding that many people complain about, yes, it takes some time to get from one place to another, but personally, it didn't bother me and I don't think it's that bad.

The game has its positives and negatives... what gamers have mentioned in the comments about annoying issues is true, the endless moments of horse riding, etc. For example, I didn't feel like dealing with what the character would eat or how clean he was.... The Van DerLinde gang tries to escape the law after a failed robbery in the city of Blackwater, going through many hardships, and also having their leader, Dutch, slowly sinking into madness. It's a story full of sadness, death, and betrayal, which you will love. The game requires a little patience as it is quite slow, but it doesn't matter. It has a wide variety of weapons and horses to choose from, and also to customize. It offers a great experience for those who want action, although it can be challenging at times. For me, it is a masterpiece. The best game that exists, and will exist.
I bought the game after reading countless good reviews and I tend to agree with the few bad ones.
I'm 15 hours into the game and I can say that I got bored after the first hour...
No action at all... endless dialogues... the character is slow... boring missions, you steal someone in the middle of nowhere and within seconds, 10 people have come to catch you. And let's not even talk about buying things with the money you collect... and horseback riding... horseback riding... horseback riding... so boring.
Personally, when I close it, I don't have the interest to continue the next day... to see how it will go further...

Somewhere I had read that the team that created the game consisted of about 1000 people who worked on the game for about 6 years. As soon as you start playing it, you will understand what an amazing job they did. AMAZING. One of the top 5 games of all time.
Okay, friend. If this isn't good, then what is? It's a wonderful single player game that simply flies by and you don't even notice it
Despite the reviews that praise it, it is a disappointing game. Good graphics, good elements, good details, but overall it is frustrating. For example, you can be in the middle of nowhere trying to rob someone and a passerby who sees you from ten meters away will report you for a bounty within 10 seconds. Within 5 seconds, 9 bounty hunters will appear out of nowhere and the only way to kill them is to activate slow motion mode (L3-R3), which is not ideal for the dualshock, making it boring. The best part is that all of this happens while you don't run much because the horse mostly walks due to stamina (congratulations Rockstar), and as if that wasn't enough, if you use cheats, it doesn't allow you to save! (congratulations again Rockstar). As a result, you get killed every time and lose money. It takes a lot of time and effort to buy something or clear a bounty since the money from looting, etc. is scarce. The map is good but not anything great, I have almost finished half of the story so far and it is mediocre with indifferent

The story of the game is worth every penny. It is very interesting and emotional as you complete missions. The graphics are fully realistic and beautiful. The most incredible game I have ever played in my life, and I'm not even a kid to exaggerate. Action, suspense, emotion, and many more will overwhelm you as soon as you start getting into the character's role. Rockstar did it again. I hope they release something similar in the future
