Very cheap and very good VGA to HDMI converter. I have a very old laptop and I wanted to connect it to the TV with HDMI so that I wouldn't have to bother with multiple different cables for video and audio. I want to inform those who bought it or want to buy it not to be discouraged in case it doesn't work immediately. I connected it, all the lights turned on but nothing appeared on the TV. I got worried and thought it wouldn't work until I saw on the internet that some old laptops and PCs don't have automatic detection (autodetect) of the connection. So, I right-clicked on the desktop, clicked on display settings, and (in Windows 10) it opened the settings where I clicked on "detect". Finally, it connected to the TV and then it required a few more screen settings for proper multiple display.

It does what it promises, meaning it converts the VGA signal and the 3.5mm audio jack of the computer into HDMI, so you can connect it to a TV/projector and transfer both image and sound. The screen works perfectly at its maximum resolution (1920*1080, which my 23-inch screen supports).
ATTENTION, it only works in one direction, meaning the source should be VGA and the screen should be HDMI. If you want the opposite, you will need another device.

Update: After 10 days of use, it stopped working. Maybe I was unlucky, and that's why I give it 2 stars instead of 1

  It is for computer to television, not the opposite. That means if your computer does not have an HDMI port. If your television does not have an HDMI port and is old, you will need another adapter. It does its job exceptionally well. You plug it into your computer's VGA port, also connect the audio cable to the PC's audio output, and finally it is powered via USB, which you can either plug into the PC or use an old charger and plug it into the socket like I did. (cheap solution and it does its job perfectly, I connected a Sony Bravia 32" to my PC)

  It is a fantastic adapter that converts old LCD televisions and multimedia monitors into smart TVs for use with decoders and Android TV boxes. Personally, I used the adapter with a ViewSonic VG2021m monitor and turned it into a bedroom television using an Amazon Firestick. The resolution is fantastic and the quality is fantastic.   -It does a good job without interruptions and losses!!!!

  -The Converter works from PC to TV & monitors with HDMI input or from receivers/PC with HDMI to TV/monitors with VGA input. That is, from both sides.

  -It works perfectly fine on my 3-year-old ASUS 24-inch monitor and my 17-year-old LG 32-inch TV (I have two of the same). It didn't work at all on another 15-year-old TV (it was receiving power but no image, while it works fine with another adapter of the same style).

  -Anyone who has an issue where it doesn't work just needs to restart the devices and it works normally. And for those who can't do the opposite, they just need to get an HDMI to VGA Female adapter, connect it to the TV, and solve the problem.

  NOTE 1: With so many accessories available on the market, some will work for the job we need and some won't. However, if we don't search and test, nothing will happen.

  NOTE 2: The USB plug is short to provide power to the desired input (either in a socket with USB, a power adapter with USB, or wherever there is a USB port, or even better, on a USB hub with long cables). You can use an extension (two male + 1 female Y-type specifically for power or a single male-female, except for hubs with long cables if they reach the input) to save on extensions. The same goes for audio with an extension (male-female jack or a direct connection with a male-male cable or even a connection to a female jack with RCA) where we want to output sound (2.1/5.1 speakers, audio system, TV/PC) can be easily done with short cables.

  NOTE 3: If we could upload a photo and video, I would provide them as evidence to show that it works from both sides, as well as the possibilities that can be achieved.
