Description
Semi-Acoustic guitar LS6 M ARE by Yamaha. It is an acoustic guitar, meaning the sound is produced by the speaker in its body and it has metal strings, as opposed to the classical guitar which consists of a combination of metal and nylon strings. The difference from the "regular" acoustic guitar is that the electro-acoustic guitar also has a preamp with an integrated equalizer for treble, midrange, and bass. This allows it to be directly connected to an amplifier, which is why it is preferred for live performances.
Like any acoustic guitar, it is commonly played with a pick, unlike the classical guitar which is played with the fingers. The material of the strings and the playing technique also result in differences in the genre of music they are used for: the electro-acoustic guitar is preferred in modern Greek music as well as genres like rock, jazz, and country, while the classical guitar is suitable for classical music compositions and flamenco.
