  I bought it to put screws and dowels. I initially put the dowels in the compartments near the hinges. I noticed that there was a problem, they would open and fall out and get tangled in the hinges. I changed their position, put the screws in those compartments and put the dowels more towards the center. The problem was solved! Otherwise, it is a sturdy plastic construction.
