This blade is unbeatable. It lasts for many shaves, always sharp. However, you need to give it time. The first time I was disappointed and after the second shave I threw it away. I tried again though, and after three more shaves, my skin got used to it and it performs amazingly!!!
You will hardly find a more reliable and durable blade. Very sharp without being harsh, and very durable and efficient. So much so that having a few packs, about 25 blades in total, I see it lasting me several months!!
Try it and you won't regret it!!
Out of more than ten brands I have tried, I consider them in the top 3 or 4 of the sharpest during the first shave, while they are by far the most durable and effective of all in repeated shaves.
Misunderstood blade. Perhaps from the Bic disposable razors that are quite aggressive and sharp. I use it in a shavette and it has worked very well. It is in rotation with Muhle and the favorite Wilkinson Sword. More aggressive and sharp than Muhle, equally sharp but much more aggressive than Wilkinson. Very good choice.
My favorite blade so far. Daily shaving and it is as sharp and smooth as I need it to be in an R89 machine. Tempting price and the fact that it is made in Greece gives me an additional reason to establish it as my main blade. Even though I shave daily, even with 3 passes, it does not bother my skin. Like a blade didn't touch it.
Excellent, it has nothing to envy from other well-known blades! And because it is a Greek product, another reason to support it
Bic Astor and Bic Chrome Platinum are exactly the SAME product. The only difference is that Bic Chrome Platinum is intended for sale outside of Greece. I have tried almost everything here for 30 years. I shave, except for my face and head, my body with them {torso, armpits, and groin (men do not shave their legs and arms unless they are athletes)}, once a week or every other week, please! Only when the blade is new, during the first shave, it requires a little attention. It cuts like a diamond, lasts like tungsten carbide, and costs pennies. A Greek company that outshines all competitors. I hope they never compromise their quality. It lasts longer than all the others for over 4 "total" shaves for me, of course, I am not very hairy and my hair is sparse and moderate.
Excellent blade, for a beginner with all the fears one may have about cuts, irritations, etc. I used it for my first shave and whatever it may say about the mistakes one can make, it ultimately made me love it and all my fears disappeared. It will definitely be among my choices, although I plan to try several others!
Very good sharp blades but they don't shave well! They fit me very well, just like the Astras. The Bic ones are slightly sharper.
Very good blades. They perform better when they are sharp. Like a new car. The second shave is better than the first!
Top blades, 100% made in Greece.
Based on measurements taken by a specialized American website in traditional shaving, which measures how sharp the blades are, the platinum ones are the No3 sharpest in the first shave and, unlike most blades, they are even sharper in the second shave (No2) and even sharper in the third shave (No1)!!!! The average of all three measurements ranks them at the top as the sharpest blades available. They are also particularly gentle.
Of course, the prerequisite is to know how to shave, otherwise it doesn't make sense for anyone to judge blades
By far the best blade for me.
Sharp...good value for money and Greek...with one condition though: that you know how to shave...

I couldn't get a good shave no matter how many times I tried. Pulling and minor irritations.
