Noi lives with his dad and their six cats in a house near the shore. Every day, his father would leave very early for work, leaving him alone at home. One day, after a big storm, Noi finds a small whale washed up on the beach and saves it by putting it in the bathtub at home. He spends time with it, telling it many stories; however, he knows well that his dad will be very angry when he sees it in the house. The whale is a big secret for such a small family and cannot stay hidden for long. So, Noi and his dad decide to take it back to the sea, but before they do, they will learn so much about each other that their family will become stronger! Benji Davies manages once again to create a story with special meanings (about friendship, loneliness, and family), using simple words that harmoniously coexist with his naive illustrations. A book with which many children and parents can identify.
