The sets vary in size and contain up to 300 pieces of wooden beams measuring 9 x 9 mm with precise cuts, tiles, roofs, and bases made from plywood, doors and windows, even made from gelatin representing glass. Paper can be applied to roof areas.

The set also includes sandpaper for small adjustments. The individual parts are glued together with wood and paper glue according to a step-by-step diagram, namely pictograms, with symbols for separate work tasks. This simple system also allowed for the easy release of instructions in eight languages.
