The Spektor 1 are the smallest speakers in the Spektor family from Dali. However, do not let this affect your perception of their value or capabilities, as the latter will pleasantly surprise you!
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Excellent speakers, clear mid and high tones, and tight bass capable of filling a small or medium-sized room. For larger rooms, you will need a subwoofer. It does not emphasize the highs like other speakers, so they are fatigue-free.
I bought these specific Dali speakers (along with the Spektor vocal center) to connect them to my Marantz SR-5400 (old good analog & optical AV receiver) and digitally connect them to my Asus Xonar D2x on my PC as a driver. They are located in a room of about 20 square meters in a 5.1 setup (for the woofer + surround, I use the woofer from the Logitech z-5500 [sub pre-out] and the 2 satellites from the Logitech z-906). I also have the analog inputs connected when I want a simple analog signal, directly changing it from the Asus.
With this setup, I can say that the speakers are amazing even as main speakers (for these bookshelf speakers). They almost manage to fill the room - in stereo for music, they are very clear and you can distinguish the instruments with very good detail, not excellent, but for the price I got them (€149.00 for the set and €125.00 for the center), they are by far the best I have heard. As an example, I have never reached the max volume on them (because it was really overkill for these bookshelf speakers) after a year of use, except for a few minutes as a test after about 4 months of use to see if there was any distortion (there wasn't).
In larger spaces, obviously they cannot be used as main speakers, but they can accompany perfectly as surround speakers.
I highly recommend them for the average user and possibly for more advanced users.
The speaker at 139 is Super!
I got it to have quality sound in my office, in combination with a small digital amplifier of about 30 watts that I got my hands on.
I have previously set up a system of much higher value, with Jbl studio 530 and a 200-watt amplifier, with excellent results. For my taste, it was indeed superb, but excessive for the space, the money, and the use with a computer.
This particular little one does a similar job, at 1/5 of the cost of the old one, and I recommend it to everyone.
Attention. I don't deal with bass and stories about wild things, but with the quality of sound.
If you want the bass to mess with your stomach, look elsewhere.
