Usage on drywall, it detects the metal studs but not always accurately. That is, it may beep when there is metal at some point, but there is ultimately no metal there. I got it to find metals behind drywall and to drill to support curtain rods, TV mounts, etc. Unfortunately, it doesn't do its job properly!

I bought it exclusively for electrical installations on plasterboard, specifically for opening spotlights and switch boxes without hitting any metal. After a few months of use, I would say that it does not do its job with enough reliability, so three stars. Attention: Not suitable for any other work!

I bought it for metal, wood, and cable detection. I tested it and found the following: 1. It detects the metal frame behind the drywall. 2. It does not detect the cables behind the drywall and behind the plaster (it only shows indication near the existing socket). 3. It does not detect the wooden studs with dimensions of 5x6 cm behind the drywall that run along the length and height behind the drywall (approximately every 60 cm where there is no metal frame). The product does not live up to what it claims to do. I purchased it because I was influenced by the reviews. Fortunately, it was returned immediately!

It is indeed very commendable and has gained my trust. I had another device (see Lidl) that I had no trust in. It is truly reliable and functions as it should.

Since I had the Bosch truvo and I bought this one for better performance, I will come back later for details. (because the Bosch one broke after the first month). But what I have to say is that the screen is helpful. The detectors are not just binary. The screen gives you a better sense of whether you should take the risk of drilling or not.

It is intended for finding materials behind plasterboard and it does it quite well.
It was also tested on a solid wall, it gives a slight indication if there is something on the scale, but it is not to be trusted. There are other tools for this job that are much more expensive.
Also, take a look at the instructions for calibration. It self-calibrates but also requires manual adjustment accordingly.
Finally, if you are going to use the detector frequently as a professional, invest in a more suitable tool.

If you want it for plasterboard, cement board, wood, etc.,
it is a decent purchase.
