I bought melatonin 3mg upon the recommendation of my homeopath. I had a big problem. I would fall asleep relatively easily (but not always), but I would wake up in 4-5 hours without being able to fall back asleep and I was constantly tired! My homeopath told me to take it for a month and that it would improve my sleep! And indeed, that's what happened! I took it for only 45 days and since then I sleep like a baby!
