This charger is different from the Panasonic BQ-CC63.

Two very basic differences are:
- This is a Quick Charger. It has fast charging, which charges the batteries in 1 hour for AAA and 1.5 hours for AA, compared to the BQ-CC63 which takes 3 hours for AAA and 5 hours for AA.
- The LEDs in the front not only indicate when the charging is complete, but also show the battery life. Green is 100% - 80%, Yellow is 80% - 20%, Red is 20% - 0%.

Compared to the BQ-CC63, this one can also charge mixed batteries, such as 2 AA and 2 AAA or 1 AA and 3 AAA, and with different charging percentages without stopping if one battery is charged or overcharging batteries that have already been charged but some are not yet.

The only negative is that you charge four batteries instead of eight... but it doesn't matter much because it charges them much faster.
