The Wizard of Oz was written by the American L. Frank Baum and was first published in 1901. Baum subsequently wrote thirteen more novels set in the land of Oz, but The Wizard of Oz remains his most famous work and has been adapted many times for the big screen or the stage. In this story, Dorothy and her little dog are transported, swept away by a cyclone, to the land of Oz. There they will meet the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion who will accompany them on their journey to the Emerald City. There, little Dorothy hopes to meet the only person who can help her return to her homeland − the Wizard of Oz! Will she manage to find him? And if so, will he be willing to help her?   A wonderful, magical story that reminds us of the importance of friends, home, and family.
