Purchased in September 2020 for 280€. I added 2 hard drives of 4GB each (+200€/WD Purple - it can take up to 2x6GB but the 6GB ones are economically unaffordable) and so far I haven't had any issues. I already had the DS-7608NI-K2, two years without any problems, and I noticed a big difference in capabilities and ease of use (although they look identical). I should note that all the cameras it works with are from HIKVISION. The capabilities of the cooperating cameras also play a role in exhausting the capabilities of the NVR, in order to assess the responsiveness of the recorder, which (connected cameras) are relatively simple, relatively affordable, and therefore I don't have an opinion on evaluating a significant part of the recorder's capabilities. The noise is not non-existent but (subjectively) tolerable and necessary due to the hard drive, it's not something you would have in your bedroom. In absolute silence conditions, the noise will be bothersome, but not in the usual mobility conditions of a residence. It should also be noted that the hard drives do not work simultaneously - increasing the noise, that is - one works until it fills up and the other is in sleep mode
