It can be used to extract the audio signal from HDMI transmission. While the video signal is displayed on a TV or monitor, the audio signal can be sent as digital (S/PDIF) or analog (stereo) to other devices, such as headphones or a multi-channel receiver.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
It is exactly what you need for a console and you want, for example, sound for a projector. It transmits the signal perfectly without issues. Easy and practical
Regarding sound, especially for Dolby Digital (5.1) via optical fiber, this is only supported through the S/PDIF protocol, meaning an amplifier or sound card is required for signal decoding. Since the ADAT protocol is not supported, it is not recommended for multi-channel professional use.
5 stars only!!!! Very good machine!!! I bought it for 72€ from a skroutz store, of course... I was lucky because it was only available in one store and it was the last piece in that particular store.
But let's get back to my review.
A very nice small and sturdy audio extractor, and a well-known and renowned brand from Delock, famous for its good electronics! It is 4K 30hz, 96khz audio (pcm-dolby digital-dts!) with a 3.5mm jack and coaxial. Of course, its advantage is the optical fiber, and that's why I bought it because my PS5 lacks optical fiber. Which is a must since I have a projector and I want to watch Netflix movies and have digital surround sound from the amplifier!!! I connected it and I was amazed!!! Crystal clear image, clear and powerful sound!!! So if you are thinking about a converter, buy it with your eyes closed, it is expensive of course, but you get what you pay for in this life. There are cheaper ones with not so good sound and inferior electronic circuits... Overall, it's worth its money!!!
P.S.
If you have headphones with optical fiber like Astro, for example, it works perfectly fine, but for this case, it would be good to go for something cheaper...
It is really very user-friendly and I can say that it solved my hands...it handles temperatures perfectly and the image and sound quality are exceptional!!!! Value for money!!!
Just so you know, for some reason it doesn't support 1440p with 120hz on the series x
