I am 110kg and I have it permanently on my smart ideal for climbing rooftops of ground floor buildings... light in terms of weight for transportation. Very good construction, opens and closes very easily... it makes a slight bend when it is fully open. I imagine it will be ideal for people up to 90kg.
It gathers and spreads quickly, light and good for going up and down quickly from somewhere not to be up doing chores, after a while I see that some steps may have taken to bend of course.
In the last 2 steps, you don't step on. But it is quite sturdy and inspires confidence. It doesn't slip as it has plastic on the edges. I think it is a good choice for amateur use at home and in difficult spots.
Not very sturdy. I bought the 3.2m one so that I can open it without any (psychological) problem up to about 2.3m-2.6m (closed the two-three top steps). I weigh 130kg (and it has a limit of 150kg!!!..... brrrrr....) and I don't want to climb more than the sixth step, let alone the last one!!!!!! (better safe than sorry... as they say). My wife's ladder (55kg) doesn't understand it even on the eleventh step. It doesn't slip (don't put it horizontally either!!!) and it closes easily and nicely (very well done, when you press the buttons, the corresponding half step closes) without the risk of "biting" your fingers by closing one step at a time. (attention is always needed).
If it's worth its money......??? hmm......
If you have my weight and don't have space like me, or even if you need a ladder that you can transport without rails, etc., it's the only way, even though it does (almost) tricks to adapt. If you don't care about these things, then (in my opinion) go for a fixed one to have your mind (literally) at peace.
I wasn't thrilled with the quality of construction. It's a Chinese product that shouldn't cost more than €50. It claims to withstand up to 150kg, but even with my 80kg, it wobbles quite a bit and makes me think I wouldn't feel comfortable with this ladder if it were a meter taller. Other than that, it's quite lightweight and very compact when folded, which makes it very practical and convenient since it's the only type of ladder you can transport in a car without a roof rack.
