Description
History is always written by the Victors and the Powerful, who have every reason to silence, conceal, or worse, distort and alter the truth at will, lulling the people and depriving them of their true history. Thus, we are taught a fabricated, a "virtual history" that always serves the ruling class - which tends to embellish events to its advantage...
In this book, the author boldly reveals painful and shocking truths about the great Greek Revolution, unearths events that dethrone fabricated heroes, and honors the true fighters and true martyrs of the Rebirth.

Reviews
Stay away from this book. It is completely unreliable. I am only on the first chapter and it is full of inaccuracies. The author, a former judge with an arrogant attitude, judges everyone as he pleases. On page 29, he mentions that Kolokotronis lost both of his children in the battle. This is not true for the second one, Giannis (Brave). He criticizes the official church and claims that historically it was against any national effort, while the honored robe had shed revolutionary blood countless times. Even the revolution in Lavrio started with Germanos. All of this is only in the first few pages, and that's where I stopped reading. It is an inaccurate book in the style of a daytime TV show. Find something more serious to get informed. Even Patroklos managed to produce anti-Greek individuals who filled the schools (page 27)

Did you find this review helpful? The book presents not so well-known details about the revolution, which refer to people or events. Because in recent years I have been reading books and watching speeches on YouTube about the revolution, I think that the events mentioned by this particular author fully correspond to reality.
