The specific mac series is as its name suggests, matte. So it is logical to expect a drier texture. It requires well-hydrated lips to avoid cracking. Excellent lipstick with a satisfying duration, spreads evenly and very easily while feeling lightweight on the lips. I also have the Russian Red from the same line and both are wonderful. The Antique Velvet was slightly darker than I expected but still very nice. It is a bit more expensive than what I usually spend on lipstick, but it truly is worth its money.

I tried the shade Mehr due to the positive reviews. It is a very dark rose, definitely not suitable for all skin tones. On my fair skin and brown hair, it was a very harsh shade. If you want something soft and relatively nude pink, this is not the color for you.
