It may require several layers, or a combination with another product for volume, for a more intense result or evening makeup. It has a wonderful brush with two sides that help with application. Additionally, it separates the lashes, never clumps, and lasts a very long time without ever smudging. Every time I've bought it, I've kept it for many months without it drying out significantly.
