The PD-30 AE, unlike most players in its category, is based on a true, genuine CD mechanism. The specialization of this silent drive mechanism for only one use positively impacts both the low operational noise and the sound of the player. The precise reading of data is supported by an anti-vibration casing made from steel sheet with an aluminum front, a generously dimensioned power supply, and a low-interference precision clock that synchronizes the drive mechanism and the D/A converter with an accuracy of ±10ppm, ensuring no jitter distortion in the sound from the outset. Thanks to the optical and coaxial digital inputs, the PD-30 AE's converter can also be used by external players – even without using the connected amplifier, thanks to the built-in adjustable-level headphone jack. For absolute convenience, the PD-30 AE CD player can work with the corresponding network player, N-30 AE. In this configuration, the network player allows the CD player to be controlled using Pioneer's remote control application, transmitting commands via a remote control cable.
