The AF-S NIKKOR 70–200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR enhances your ability to capture stunning photos even in the most challenging conditions. The improved AF tracking and exposure control, along with the VR SPORT mode, combine to ensure impressive burst shots.
Nikon's nano crystal coating effectively reduces ghosting and reflections. The construction is lightweight, thanks to the use of fluorite glass elements, yet remains robust.
The focal length range of 70–200 mm (105–300 mm when used with Nikon DX format SLR) covers all the important points. The fast f/2.8 aperture ensures excellent performance in low light conditions and consistent exposure throughout the zoom range. The closest focusing distance is just 1.1 m.
Nikon's VR function minimizes the effects of camera shake, allowing you to shoot at shutter speeds up to 4 stops slower than without VR. The SPORT VR mode provides a more stable viewfinder image during fast action shots or when shooting unpredictably moving subjects.
Designed to work with Nikon's fast, professional DSLRs, this lens responds quickly and accurately to autofocus changes. During continuous high-speed shooting, the electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism operates in sync with the camera's shutter for fast auto exposure control and consistency between shots.
This lens ensures unique precision and contrast across the entire frame. Compared to its predecessor, edge-to-edge performance has been improved and light loss has been reduced.

Unbelievable sharpness and color rendering. The comparison can only be made with very high-quality prime lenses. The only downside is the price, but if you are a professional, you buy it once and you know you have the best lens on the market. Also, the stabilization it has is on another level compared to its predecessor. As an example, in steady subjects with a steady hand, you can easily go down to 1/10. Of course, you only do it when necessary, but it is possible even if it seems unbelievable. Finally, for those who don't know, the focus ring and zoom ring are reversed compared to other Nikon lenses, something that took me half an hour to get used to. That's all.
