Attention to the market, always make sure to look for version 1 that they send you because the store where I bought it sent me version 3 without notification which is problematic. I have proof that version 1 is what I'm telling you, so don't come with surprises. I bought it from a different store, it has nothing to do with each other
I have it for about a month.. So far I am not satisfied... From the beginning, it had issues with the connection.. It couldn't find the router even though it was close.. It keeps kicking me out and constantly says "Connected without internet access" or "Couldn't obtain IP address"... Very disappointing
The connection is easy. The router is on the first floor and the tp.link is on the second. The connection range is about 5 meters and it connects well without interruptions and covers the entire floor for me. At 8 meters where I had it placed initially, I kept losing the connection signal.
It works great. The distance from the router is about 7 meters. It goes through two walls. I have placed it at the other end of the house for use with the PS4 and for a Wi-Fi camera. Very reliable.
Excellent tool.. we have it on the boat... and the router is on the dock about 80 meters away and it has amazing signal strength...
I had bought the same one 4 years ago. Fully satisfied with its continuous use, speed, and range. Until one day it simply stopped working. It gave up the ghost. I tried to restore it with a hard reset but nothing, so I decided to get another one. After market research and reading many reviews, I concluded that this specific extender is the best value for money, so I chose it again. Tried and tested solution. I don't know exactly the differences and advantages/disadvantages between the versions (V1, V2, V3, V4), but I am very satisfied with the V1 that I got.
I have had it for about 10 months and so far it does what it promises without any problems. I won't go into technical details that I don't know. In simple words... the installation is very easy, and even the most inexperienced person can do it either with an application from the play store or through a browser. Personally, the second option worked for me. As for the range and effectiveness it provides... in a 3-story house, the router is placed on the 1st floor and the repeater on the ground floor. It provides complete coverage with excellent signal throughout the ground floor, and also in a perimeter of 5 meters outside (balconies, entrance, etc.) with a slightly weaker signal, of course. As for the basement, I don't have full signal, but I have satisfactory coverage on the entire floor with both my laptop and mobile phone. Clearly, the 5G signal is weaker. It reaches within the ground floor but not at all in the basement. As for some comments about the temperature, there is no issue, and it worked perfectly fine even during hot weather without overheating.
Update: After 3 years, it still works, I have done all the upgrades. The only flaw is that sometimes, fortunately not often, it loses the connection. This can last for about half an hour and then it reconnects. Otherwise, I unplug it and it immediately fixes itself. This started happening about 1.5 years later.
Purchase the specific extender and connect it to the router at a distance of 7-8 meters, in a single space in the shape of a hallway-living room.
While the connection light with the router is steady blue, I noticed that on an almost daily basis, for a few minutes, it cuts off my Internet, while at the same time the router is o.k....
Without taking any action, it comes back on its own and I get an IP....

Update 10/12/23: Over two and a half years and it hasn't stopped working for even a minute, connected to TVs playing 4K, mobile phones, laptops. Completely reliable and stable.
The problem with the wifi has been resolved. Before the extender, I didn't have wifi signal within 10 meters from the router... Easy installation with the application. If I notice any disconnections, etc., I will do an update.
They connected immediately with mobiles and routers, and in the 4 months that I have had it, it has never disconnected. It seems to be of very good quality and it is sturdy
Personally, the best thing for an extender with good price and plenty of settings. The only negative for me is the 5Ghz band. Slow.

Incredible range on the 13 band at 40MHz, reaching up to 93 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload, and 15 ping. On the 2.4 GHz band, the wifi works better than the LAN at times.
Its range did not solve the problem for me. It connects relatively easily, found the router quickly, has not disconnected me, but as I mentioned earlier, its range did not satisfy me and notably, I did not have excessive demands.

It has easy installation, with the ability to control it from the mobile after downloading the TP-LINK app. It emits a strong signal and the speeds are beyond expectations... I recommend it!
I bought it to replace an older TP extender that I had for years and was "junk" but didn't have a 5GHz band. I connected immediately, it synchronizes in seconds, and its range in a medium-sized apartment is truly impressive.
Now I am permanently connected to the 5GHz band with speeds above 80mbps-90mbps on a 100mbps line, basically as if I am connected with a cable. In areas where there is a wall, the speed is "limited" to 70-80mbps!
It comes with an extremely user-friendly application called Tether, through which you can easily manage your extender.
So far, not a single disconnection (knock on wood!!!).
I have nothing else to say. I recommend it without a second thought.
I bought it to use as an access point and not as a repeater/extender. I connected the Ethernet cable to the router, which was not dual band, and now with my 100 Mbps connection, the wifi reaches from 70 to 90 if you connect to the 5GHz!
I should note here that the 5GHz, as expected, reaches up to one room from where I have placed it. But the 2.4GHz is stronger than the WIND ZTE modem they gave me, and even after 2 rooms, it still has 60% today.
Easy and fast synchronization (either through the website or through the application).

3. Good range (single space with walls/doors but not different floors).
4. It desynchronizes periodically (once a week) and requires reconfiguration/reconnection. Also, the speed sometimes drops, despite the router having a stable connection.
5. In case of keeping the same name as the router, the devices do not automatically connect to the extension, resulting in the need for a different name and manual reconnection of the device in case of changing rooms.
6. Overall, I have not encountered any serious issues and the purchase is worth it based on its value.
With 100 grams in the space I was, I couldn't reach more than 25 with wifi. Now I reach 45..50 and wired from TP-LINK 67..70. Excellent.

I had a problem with the Nova router, even though it synchronized at 48mb, the wifi was over-lapped. I tried the tp link as an access point (disabling the router wifi and connecting the extender to the router via ethernet). Almost the entire house has 5/5 signal strength and where it has perfect signal, it hardly loses any speed (46-47mbps). I have been completely satisfied for 2 months now.
A 120 sq.m. house with two floors does not cover it. It was never connected to the router that was right above it, nor from any other location..... it's a shame for the money I spent.

If all these positive comments refer to signal extension in a unified space, okay, although I believe they should write it.

Super easy installation compared to a previous one I had. Everything is perfect, except that it still doesn't allow you to change the password.
How is it possible not to let you choose a different password? It doesn't mention anything like that anywhere, and when I first saw it, I was incredibly disappointed, truly unacceptable.
Easy setup connected directly as the previous ones said, an excellent tool. I have nothing else to say... It covers the whole 120sqm house and the basement... prefer it...
I bought it to replace a cheaper Logilink extender, which was a disappointment, and I decided to buy this one, as it would work with a TP-Link Archer VR400 V1 adsl modem/router, which I have been very satisfied with.
Its size is smaller than what I expected, seeing the photos, and it fit into a tighter socket, which I did not expect. The connection to the router's wifi was very easy. It can be done in 3 ways: a) through the WPS button (which is the easiest), b) through the TP-Link Tether App, and c) through connection to the wireless network and the address 192.168.0.254. As soon as I completed the connection, the signal light turned red, indicating weak signal and that I needed to place it closer to the router for better strength (there is a relevant tool in the Tether App). The wifi range is very good and at least in my case, it fully satisfied me. Its operating environment is simple, user-friendly, and with plenty of settings (although not enough for an advanced user). It provides a lot of information about the operation of the extender and the router, and has several settings for network operation (especially if used as an access point rather than an extender). It broadcasts on both bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and supports the 802.11ac protocol. It allows you to have the same name as the wireless network it extends, so that there is one network name for each band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) throughout the house, instead of two (however, in this case, the signal strength is slightly reduced, especially in the 5GHz band). However, you can also give it any name you want, different from the name of the router's wireless network. Additionally, you can set a schedule for when it turns on and off (power schedule) by hours or days of the week, while it allows you to set times for the four blue LED lights it has to turn off, so as not to be bothersome (especially if it is placed in a bedroom). TP-Link has good support and has already released two new firmware updates. The upgrade was done easily without any problem. As for its operation, it is very stable, unaffected by router restarts, so it reconnects immediately without any problem. In case of its own restart, it does not lose the settings.
Overall, I did not notice any problem or instability. The network is very stable, reliable, and has not crashed. Because I have been previously troubled with extenders and routers, this one simply works as expected. It does not bother you during setup, you make the simple initial settings and it immediately works. Of course, you can customize it further and tailor it to your needs, but it still operates just as reliably. It seems to be worth its price and works perfectly with the TP-Link adsl modem. The big positive for me is the operation of the 5 GHz band, which is excellent. I recently started working on the 802.11ac protocol (exclusively on the 5 GHz band). Even though the computer is in a remote location, it still connects to the extender normally. The signal is not as strong as that of the 2.4 GHz band, but it has much less noise and significantly greater data transfer rate (even though I usually get around 200-300 mbps from a distance, which is a huge difference compared to the 2.4 GHz band). Overall, I noticed significant differences in speed regarding this protocol, especially in file transfer within the network: noise at 9-14% and a very stable signal (about 50%), although it is low without fluctuations. Generally, even though the 5 GHz band has a shorter range and weaker signal (does not easily penetrate walls) compared to the 2.4 GHz band, it offers a much larger data transmission range, making it the preferred choice, especially if your computer supports the 802.11 ac protocol. Specifically, if you need to transfer files on the network, it is the best choice even with a 30% signal. The network and connections are very stable, even after restarts, the extender connects instantly. If you don't have major signal range issues, prefer the 5 GHz band (either in n or ac). It is worth noting that I have used the extender with both a new computer and two old laptops from 2008 and 2011, considering the age of their wireless network cards.
Advanced users may want more settings and customization, however, the average user will be fully satisfied with its functionality, simplicity, reliability, and capabilities. TP-Link offers a 3-year warranty. Overall, it has left a very positive impression on me, comparable to other products from the same company.
UPDATE 7-3-2023: This specific extender has proven to be excellent! I have no complaints whatsoever. I have not experienced any disconnections during this entire period and have not had to reconfigure it. I had used it for a period of two years as an access point connected with a cable to the router, but now I have moved it to my sister's house where it works as a wifi extender without any issues. It is a reliable and immortal worker. A very honest purchase!
It is definitely worth buying compared to the cheapest category of €20. It has a more stable signal and also comes with a cable for better results. Sometimes it freezes and needs a reboot, but only once every 2 weeks.
