Antigone leaves her quiet life in Athens and goes to Pelion to work as an assistant to the famous doctor Karamanis. There, the pampered city girl will face illness and death, and will encounter difficulties that will make her change her perspective on life. In the person of Nikos Dendrinos, she will find love and dream about the future. However, the war comes to overturn everything. Nikos leaves for the front, where glory and the struggle for freedom await him, while Antigone and Karamanis fight their own battle, turning the sanatorium into a place where kindness will try to crush the passions born of war and bridge the gap between friends and enemies.
