We are talking about a powerful drill. An awesome tool. I had an older model, 15 years old, the dfr 2-26, which if I'm not mistaken is 2.7 joules. An exceptional tool with incredible performance that you could push to the limit and it wouldn't flinch. After fifteen years and after already changing the chuck once (it was breaking bricks and I was using it for concrete work), it gave up. I decided not to repair it, even though many colleagues and others told me to. So, I went straight to this model, the descendant of the dfr 2-26, which I consider to be an awesome tool overall. It's a bit heavier, but you get used to it right away. You also immediately notice the difference in less tiring work due to the vibration control. And finally, the 3.2 joules make a difference. I got it for €230 with a case from a reputable store. Anyone who gets it will understand that it's worth every penny. We're talking about a beast (always in terms of weight and category) that works like butter and has incredible performance. Anyone who gets it will understand me. P.S. I work with tiles and marble professionally, so you can understand how I use it.
Awesome tool that doesn't stop anywhere, it just has a little more weight but it's logical due to its power of 3.2 j, the strongest hit in its category. It's worth it with closed eyes and another advantage is that if you enter Bosch's website and register the tool's code, you get a warranty extension!
As a professional, I will judge it.. in comparison to the equivalent Makita, this one is more powerful in terms of impact.. but it has fewer impacts per minute.. as for construction, it is very professional.. made in Germany, you can see.. very long cable. the handle tightens at any point you want and not in predetermined ones.. electronic trigger.. but without lights, which were quite useful in dark spaces on the Makita.. overall, you get a professional tool that you can hear excelling when it works compared to others like Makita Metabo.. the most powerful in J.. excellent quality.. so far, in its 3rd year, it hasn't made a squeak.. (it only works for drilling in concrete, not for chiseling.. none of them are suitable for chiseling in concrete) otherwise, you will quickly feel it in your hand
I think it is the best tool. Lightweight, fast, very durable, and with minimal vibrations on the wrist. The use I make of it is relentless. Drilling into concrete with a minimum drill of 12mm at least 120 holes per project, and breaking concrete with a 1 to 2 square surface of 2 centimeters with a chisel. I push it to its limits on every project. If it breaks after 4 to 5 years of continuous use, it's better to get a new one. The service is expensive and its performance is not the same anymore.
For drilling holes and any kind of light work, it is just what you need. The carrying case is a bit fragile, the plastic is very soft.... no comparison to the older cases
I have it too and yes, it is indeed very good. If I'm not mistaken, it is the most powerful in its category in terms of weight compared to joules. However, I want to point out a peculiarity that because it is electronic, the trigger does not have an immediate response and it takes a little getting used to, but for others, it may not be a problem
In 2 and a half hours at most, I have broken all the tiles in the bathroom with this tool. I was cleaning the walls properly. A handyman told me that it would cost a lot of money and it would be difficult to remove the tiles. Ha ha! And if I don't want to remove them, we can just stick the new tiles on top of the old ones. What? :)) Lose 4-6 inches of space in the bathroom?
Forget it, handyman! I did it all by myself and saved money for the tool to do other jobs around the house.
This Saturday, we're going to break the marble floor too. With my new friend, Bosch 2-28...
